RBP3 [SPOILERS] National Pastime (Rapoleon_Hi of the Aztecs)

Dreylin Wrote:Tryig to look under the fog, it seems like the tile 3E of the Warrior in my last screenie is a Hill. If so, then standing on it should de-fog the tiles further North which both look flat, so I tend to agree with TMIT that straight E next turn (onto the plains hill) and then NE from there will de-fog the most on the way back.

In addition to this, it lowers the chances of losing the warrior (he might be exposed to flatland if we go NE to get back, or we'll just wind up going around the peak anyway), and we are relying on that warrior to not lose our 2nd city to something stupid tongue.

sent the following to India. There is no way that I can see an answer until early morning NY time (even if they do send one) so don't hold any required moves waiting for me.

Quote:DJ Civ,

Well done on getting that round stoney thing - it also netted me 3g which I parked on Stonehenge while I had a few turns that didn't match up nicely. And NO - you cannot have that 3g ... it is mine.

Any instructions re Krill warrior - we have a warrior in the region performing barb busting duties for you (ok, for me too) and and would like to hook up a meeting if possible.

Finally, should I mention the email regarding longer term alliances again? No - probably not, don't want to seem desperate. Anyway, the quicker we can reach some form of long term understanding, the quicker we can bring in others to assist us in our march towards victory.

Cheers,

Ruff

Turn 35:

- Eastern warrior is healed. Bear pops up where it was on t33, so we're fine to jump SE toward the forest, I do so.

- Western warrior 1E. This is interesting. There's a diagnol crossing point between 2 peaks, but the fogged appearance says no forest/hill there either.

- Worker mines the plains hill.

Turn 36:

- Eastern warrior SE onto forest tile.

- Western warrior 1N to minimize the chances of it dying on its way home.

- More mining

We'll see if we can't negotiate a meeting, but at this point he might just bump into us :/. Hopefully we can get a pact going too.

Krill wants to setup a summit between the three of us + HRE.
Quote:Hi guys,

Hopefully you've just received this message from the great nation that is India (All bow to their masterful pile of rocks : unworthy: )

I'm sending this message via the Indians, trying to set up a meeting point so we can all gain contact.

On turn 36 my warrior will be 4 tiles south of the Indian capital, on a plains hill tile. After that I will either head south east for at least one more turn, but he can hold for one turn if needed.

Hopefully this summit will be a success smile

Thanks in advance (especially to India),

Krill
I don't think that we can make that meeting.

Indeed, we're nowhere near that.

Turn 37:

- Eastern warrior is a coinflip between NE and SE. I pick NE. Reveals a bit more riverside plains and a grass hill

- Western warrior NE onto floodplains, revealing a riverside plains

- Worker completes mine in homeland

BW is in 8 turns so no chops yet. Our worker options are to mine or farm basically. As we're working the oasis upon settling, there's less pressure to pre-improve something before the corn. On the other hand, we're likely to build another worker in the capitol before we grow again.

I think our 2nd border pop allowing us to start farming a flood plain for city #2 is the way to go here. Spend a few turns farming that, make sure the worker can start immediately on the corn once city 2 it settled, finish the FP farm later.

Turn 38:

- Eastern warrior 1 NE into plains forest. It turns out this is 2 tiles south of nakor's border.

- Worker moves towards FP

- Western warrior continues NE, showing us another river plains forest.

We get our settler in 4 turns. By the way ruff...when are you taking over again wink?

I'll be back on the evening of the 20th ... but too late for the usual MP game smile.

<OK, you guys are last up so I'll play the turn>

t39:

Eastern Warrior - there's a Lion 2S and if this was my game I'd probably move to the forested hill 1SE and see if it wanted to attack and bring the Warrior up to 2xp. Since this isn't my game I'm not going to take any risks, so he moves to the forested hill 1E instead - reveals a Jungle Silver in their borders as predicted by Ruff.

Western Warrior moves NE onto Forest and reveals the mountain that was obvious in the fog.

Oh EPs; you have Exploit's graphs (+8EPs), so I fully switched them over to Naktor.
