Well first, there's the hell terrain and the considerable amount of desert around. Not to mention those armageddon happy orcs southeast....yeah i'd like my floodplains not on fire thank you very much.
Secondly, they are demons that have spawned in our backyards with little to do other than rampaging around. Not to mention there are far more important issues elsewhere and it's better to deal with them now than have an uneasy truce floating above you for the coming turns.
Third, it's Krill.
Unfortunately Mist didn't attack this turn, saying he was unsure of what my next actions would be and i need his army to attack first if we're gonna break through. My manpower alone isn't enough to break through and it's an army made for threatening several objectives at the same time and to force the opponent to spread out. Not for breaching highly entrenched super units inside a huge hill metropolis (did a few simulations, results were dreadfull). We don't want Krill to heal up between our turns so he needs to go first.
Also while my units could attack this turn, they are too far away to retreat from the battlefield should they withdraw. I'm willing to go right in with a decently high withdrawal chance if i'm weakening an enemy, but not if they can be retaliated right after.
So i regrouped all my HA 2N of Mist, reason is to avoid the defensive strikes from the longbowman and to avoid Krill nabbing a few kills. Krill will likely have another axeman/Deceased corpse during that, but we should still be able to take him out if Mist goes all in this turn.
