I might. I'll PM you my password; not sure how late I'll be awake, and the turn is scheduled to roll 1AM or later. Orders are simple:
Move the warrior into the capital.
Leave the worker be; I'll wait for Commodore to move before acting with him.
Don't end turn.
Commodore moved his 94HP Shock Warrior onto the roaded tile. With 2 warriors, I took the shot.
Hey, look at that! First one won! 5XP for 2 promo (wait a second...5XP. And I'm Cha. I'm STILL not benefiting from my traits at all. Not that I'm complaining, this turn was good)
Civstats later showed Krill popping a tech. Oh well.
It does. I'll take a little luck with a side order of overconfidence from my foe. But rule of thumb with Civ4 combat: 2 > 1 in almost all circumstances.

It was a little dangerous - if the initial attack didn't work well, he could have been facing an attack on his cap at 40-50% odds.
it worked spectacularly, of course.
Even an undamaged shock warrior doesn't get odds against a new warrior in a city. He probably forgot about the +25% city defense that warriors have. If my first warrior did no damage (very unlikely) then he'd have a 30% shot or so. His best hope would be that I took an 80% shot with warrior #2 and lost. Then I'd be dead.
I contemplated staying put, as the chance of losing to the Panther would be close to zero, but I figured healing up would lose us valuable scouting time, so I moved away as shown. Grant discovered a hut.
Other Warriors have been set to garrison your cities.
I'm not sure why you'd want to farm that floodplain, wouldn't a trade connection be better, 2 extra commerce at the cost of two worker turns?
