I wonder if this is a sign that I should raze the barb city and resettle more defensively, like on Molach's warrior.
I can't really complain about AT's city, since it's pretty close to his Capital. I'm the one stretching...
Chops, chops!

Preparing our future settlements (changed the axe to a spear, by the way).

We got ourselves a nice, little Mexican Standoff 'round here.
That settles things for me, this barb city needs to be razed. I can't hold it in the middle of two other civs and it messes up all of my possible, more defensible dotmaps, if one of the other players get it. I really want that fur, but I don't want to mess up my whole game to get it. Counting tiles, the fur is 14S, 3W of my Capital, while it's only 10E from AT's capital. That's a big difference.
So, I have a chariot and an axe around. I'll do my best to make the other players want to raze the city too, but I want to be ready to take it from whoever gets it and raze it myself. So, I'll use the chop I had planned for a WB in Jizo to get another chariot and widen my options in the area.
Finalyy, I'll try to settle either of these options (settler is already in production):
I think I favor the white square. It's more defensible and it doesn't aggravate AT so much, since I let the fish for him, though I think he'd only be able to settle it in the small island. It grabs the fur, though in a way AT can probably nab it from me, if he really wants to force the issue. Anyway, it's a good and defensible city, I can't really hope for much more in a city closer to my opponents than from myself.
I think this is a big deal, that's why I'll try and force the issue with a chopped unit. I think one of my big flaws is not devoting the needed resources to have a say in the key points of the game, when there's risk involved (in the sense that I could make the units, hinder my development, and still lose the city). But if I don't capitalize on the key points, I'll be always missing the key opportunities to actually get a lead/chance of winning. Same reason why I'll declare on whoever gets the city and raze it.

By the way, if I indeed get the Colossus, my path to vistory seems clear enough. Currency + settle some islands will boost my economy for all I need. If I get the hill city above, most of my other spots to settle are basically backfill, which I can leisurely settle, when I see fit. I get HR to grow some key cities, like the Capital and Shinigami, while I get the others to whippable sizes, to make the Phract doomsday army.
Right now, Jowy seems like the player to attack. He's focusing heavily in food and hammers, and he expanded very quickly. But the costs in this map are huge, and EXP/IMP won't help him much with that (there's markets, but he'll take a while to get there still). There's also the chance that Mardoc will attack him too, due to being settled upon. If I can get to Phracts while he only has longbows, I'm in pretty good shape.

I love when the numbers match up like this. The scientists are for the second GP, + a big help to get to Currency in a reasonable amount of time.
Barbs really want to give me a freebie. This one isn't so nice, though. It would just be a dent in my economy right now, without adding any benefits.
I plan to settle this one in less than 10 turns. I plan to have at least 10 cities when currency is up, so it'll be worth +20 commerce and wealth builds!

I really hope this is empty... I wouldn't blame Jowy for razing my city, because I really messed up there. I really didn't expect that Galley. What makes me feel better is that Jowy has a island city, with an improvement. That means he used the galley for a settler/worker and the galley has a chance to be empty. Though, I don't think Jowy will want to attack me, since he's in a very good spot, and it makes us afraid of losing it (due to crazy neighbour behaviour and such).
Look at his food lead! He's doing pretty well for himself, and he'll settle even more cities before I settle my next one. Don't "ruin" your game by attacking me, mate.
Tensions rising here... I have a feeling everyone wants to rze this city, but I can't really communicate this with them. I'll have the units needed to take the city in a single turn, next turn. But the chariots only have 80% odds, so that'll likely fail, if I try. Optimal outcome is that someone else takes the city after I attack with the axe and he razes it. We'l see what happens, though. I moved my axe because I want to be able to declare war and attack with the axe, without getting teleported.

Man, this comment made me look for what is a Rattenkonig and I have now spent a considerable amount of time reading about rats in Wikipedia.
Jowy didn't raze my city, by the way. Hopefully everything works out near the Rat King too.

Attack with the unpromoted Chariot first; if it dies, you're back into a holding pattern until you can get a replacement unit down. If it wins, attack with the CI Chariot, and pray you don't flub that attack :P
Err, apologies if that was all totally obvious to you already!
