[Spoilers] Dreylin tries to take over the World ... casually?

I think the wildlife is against our exploring further SE:

lol I turned back NW and exposed the Cretan Bull.

Warrior survived the Panther, but has retreated to heal:

By my reckoning we're 3rd to plant our city #2 - although there's a lot of turn left for others to join us. I think Worker-first is right, then grow on the Fish while the Workers improve the Sheep & Horses.

Because we're on top for a moment:

Yeah, worker first sounds good to me.

No pics. Scout is dancing away from the Bear and towards a Lion (no adjacent this turn).

AT planted last turn along with us, and Gawdzak planted this turn.

3 more have added their second cities, which I think leaves just 4 without.

Scout continued backtracking / running away:

I would have loved to let him defend and save the promo for healing afterwards, but I ran some tests and the Lion would have had 15-20% odds. Although not large, I prefer to guarantee a few more turns scouting, so he now has WoodsI.

Meanwhile we popped 3rd ring:

I'm unsure of whether to try to bait that Lion into an attack (maybe moving NW), or just attempting to dodge past and set up a sentry at Troll...

I think it's just Nyles and maybe BRick who haven't planted their seconds yet.

Meanwhile:

Scout took a single hit and is showing 0.8/1 with 3t to heal. There's nothing in sight at the moment, so he's going to stay put for this turn at least to rejuvenate a bit.

Techs this turn were from Jowy, BGN, AT & IchaBOB; I haven't dug into which is most likely to have grabbed the Religion, but it's not our Aztec neighbours which is good.

Worker has finished the Mine at Weed and now has 6 turns to use before the borders at Ganja pop. I don't think it's worth putting a Farm S of the Deer at this point, so it's probably laying a few roads. If we get one SW of Ganja, that will allow the new Worker to start work on the Horses or Sheep as soon as the borders pop. That's 3 worker turns used, leaving 3. Roading 1S of Weed would cost me 4 to get back to that hill, so I could road the hill NW of Ganja as well. Haven't had time to sim, so may just have to play it by ear. As always, thoughts appreciated.

Micro plan: 1t Road on Deer; move 1SW Ganja, Road; Road Horse - Borders pop & both Workers improve the Horses.

Scout is chilling for another turn:

We have now met Mardoc & Adrien:

From his direction of arrival we know he has seen "Troll" and may well have seen the Pigs next to it, but can't be certain he's whether he's seen our borders. EPs tell us we met this turn, as neither of us has spent on each other. He could be prepping to send a Settler out to the Corn.

I left the Scout in place in the hope the Lion attacks us for the extra XP; then we can dodge away from his Warrior.

Meanwhile, our Warrior is keeping an eye on the North:

Idea was to get him to the Pigs, but we'll see how the Lions move.

Could have sworn I posted this yesterday, but I must be going mad....

Lion & Warrior both disappeared. I wonder if the former attacked the latter and then he moved off. Anyway, I headed N for a peek at Mardrien's surrounds:

But then decided not to venture too close:

Choices next turn are SE to finish the defogging, or head NE-N to go further.

Also, BRick & Nyles have planted their cities over the last two turns (respectively) so everyone is now up to 2. Workboat sailed this turn, and I'm 1turning a Warrior before starting the Settler.

Neighbours, everybody needs good Neighbours, with a little ... oh well:

PB28 redux for these two, I hope they enjoy it! I can imagine Mardrien's thread when they do meet... lol
