New Year-Pitboss?

That would be a welcome change as fas as I'm concerned. Seafood is very weak early on and could use a buff, although minor.

Gimmie, brah.

I am happy with the Work Boat change but I think we'd want a supermajority.
If only you and me and dead people know hex, then only deaf people know hex.

I write RPG adventures, and blog about it, check it out.

Bring on 2.0.8.5. I support this change but I've been told that my start is 8 golds and the rest plains cow so I don't see how it helps me.

Thanks for rolling this out so quickly.

If the vets are on board with the workboat change, I'm game, but doesn't it further weaken civs that start with fishing? It was already a pretty weak tech, and now it would approach irrelevant.

Thanks Krill and Mardoc for being crazy quick cartographers.

This change makes fishing starts more viable.

911 This amendment could make worker first not an always automatic right choice given the right terrain and resources.  The amendment expands player choice and put decisions in the hands of players, not the mapmaker establishment.  Do what's right for the players of PB41, not their mapmaker masters.  Vote YES on 2.0.8.5 for PB41.   911

This propaganda post brought to you by Players in Favor of RtR 2.0.8.5, a 501.3c "not for profit" organization that somehow will make a tidy profit off its contributors' donations in various ethically dubious and morally reprehensible ways.  Totally unaffiliated with Xenu 2020.

I'm not sure that it's a universally good change, but I think it's a good change for this map with this pick method.  Anyway, I'll be holding your starting screenshots and first round of civ/leader picks hostage until y'all have documented consensus, since it could affect the value you place on certain civs smile.

Krill did like 90% of the work - it's easy to be fast when you're only responsible for 10% of the effort lol  I'm just taking over long enough to get the leader-civs chosen and edited into the map since he's on shift work now and my schedule is more conventional.

Unrelated question: when the map is ready, who do I send it to?  It looks like Old Harry, since Xenu is playing?  Anyone else have access to Caledorn's server?

Old Harry, Brick, and I have access to the server. I did show Old Harry how to set up a game once, so if he remembers how to do it (ahem, and can complete the process..including the backup setup!!!) you can send it to them. Otherwise you can send it to me if they're not around and the other players don't object. I did the setup for PB38 and played in that and managed not to win, for what that's worth.

Always shoot the hostage. Then you can get a clear shot at the hostage taker.

On an unrelated point, there is a poll up in our my thread. I need more voters so I don't have to fake the election results on the first poll.

I yield! I yield!  lol

It looks like every one who has replied thus far wants it (Rusten, Commodore, BGN, Xenu), so I'm happy to place my trust in their gnarled, veteran, newb-strangling hands. 2.0.8.5 all the way.
