Is that character a variant? (I just love getting asked that in channel.) - Charis

Hmm ill have to look more into it. Thanks!

We want to avoid whipping if we can as our economy is bad and our happiness and food are both limited. There is no huge hurry to kill Ruff and we have 6 times his cities that can produce units. How many archers does he have now btw?

I sure hope Krill attacks someone else and I think that would be sensible for him. We have a military edge now with our charismatic, ger-boosted Keshiks while he surely has an economic advantage. He should be set up to get a technological advantage over us later on. Why attack us now when we have military and little else?

Last i saw, 10 archers. With our current axes, i expect at roughly 11% odds they get 1 kill, and hopefully the rest injure the archers. That leaves us with needing at minimum, 1.5 keshiks per archer. Thinking 15 keshiks atm would be enough to go in. I want a little bit extra so that i can burn/settle a couple cities after capturing Ruff.

Also i want to note: This is part of the reason why i hesitated on choking you Chumchu, this has to be a very boring thing to have to do every single day. I always hated being where Ruff is now when i played on Gamespy matches.

At 9 keshiks so far. Pumping out 2 more from the capital before it builds a settler.

Choking is boring but effective. What could solve such a situation is general rules for resigning early when reduced to 1 city with no hope of winning.

Yeah, but then all the other players tend to gripe about how the AI might move a bunch of archers out making them an easier target. Its a hard thing for me to do.

Well opened up this turn to a really weird surprise.

Why on earth would you do this Ruff? Especially with no settler? Suicide?

Sadly i had moved an axe away last turn, so i could only attack with two this turn. Both had 97%+ odds, and one will get a promo next turn. I moved all available keshiks in to attack next turn. Perfect opportunity. I have 2-3 more keshiks that will join the battle the following turn should i need them, but with 3 archers having left the capital with a max of 1 being popped EOT... i figure this is the best shot.  Lets put Ruff out of his misery.

That was odd. But we will take it.

Yeah, So Axes-Keshiks or Keshiks-Axes? Keshiks "should" get guaranteed damage on the archers thanks to a free first strike/immunity to them.. But, id rather have a bunch of 3 promo keshiks and some dead axes than the other way around. But i also want Ruff to be dead already, so curious what would actually give the better kill-odds
