I'm going to get Square Rigging to eureka-complete. That loses a little overflow but I think that's the better approach. It'll take two more turns of research on my part and then I'll switch to Military Tactics while I wait. I've got Campus districts completing in 5, 7 and 9 turns so that'll shave some time off Cartography. Also confirmed the wheat is next at Al.
Turn 119
Have a Good Time has finished its lighthouse, I move a citizen from the plains to the Kampung and start a galley (for caravel upgrade). I’ll buy the trader in a couple of turns. As much as I could use the

income I think running a route from Proof to Graceland is the better idea – that’ll get a trading post established in the latter for when its Harbor is complete. It also makes transiting the island a bit easier.
On Big Island the builder moves back to Proof and will plantation that city’s coffee next turn. Graceland buys the Harbor tile and locks it to start working on it next turn. Confucius relocates from Hearts & Bones to Demak Sultanate, where the Russian navy appears to have decided to pursue my fleet. Jong at Hearts and Bones sneaks out for a look, finds nothing and returns to friendly waters. Diamonds completed its Campus and starts on the Temple. My builder in the area has two charges left – I’ll put in a lumbermill in Diamonds’ first ring and then head to OC for an improvement there (likely also a lumbermill). Shuffle some units around and
Now, I suppose I could stop to sink that western galley but that is not in the cards right now. I have a navy to blast through. First things first, though. Swordsman attacks and takes the city, razing it and killing the galley. I’ve got a promotion waiting for me and I’ll use that to heal before picking up my ride (or walking south). I’ve got a bit of a pickle here now, though. I need to kill three galleys before I can move anything through that gap. So, how to do that? Jong to its NW kills the galley to the SW. I move the front jong into the empty hex and kill another galley. Jong comes down to the crabs, redlined galley is sunk. Next two jong come up, an Aussie galley is sunk and the Russian galley is redlined. Note that galley’s position – CMF has Cartography completed. Here’s the stupid bit:
Because the warrior is not a ship Embolon doesn’t apply. That makes the warrior more difficult to kill than a galley.

The bit of good news is that Australia is losing milpower now. I’ll need to keep an eye on that Holy Site to see if it gets rebuilt anytime soon.
To the south my knight moves to the Campus and finds some troops around and finds a one-charge builder E of the Campus and an archer SE of there. I pillage the Campus for 97

and will go deal with the archer next turn. That’ll get me the barding promotion and I think I’ll pillage the mines here and then move down to Flower Boy to take that city out. The swordsman can start in on Aquemini in three turns if the fleet isn’t already there.
