Doing a little more city planning later but city 2S of Rice seems pretty good with border pop (holy city will be 2nd city).

I can't believe you popped calendar! I feel a bit better about not pulling ahead in the early game with my ultra early game leader/civ. (Sorry, haven't had the time to read through the thread but someone drew my attention to this).

Yeah, that allowed me to get the snowball rolling early. Or more like make it bigger before it starts rolling. Saving like 12 turns of research early was huge.
