RBP3 [SPOILERS] National Pastime (Rapoleon_Hi of the Aztecs)

turn played. Actually - two turns played. I fortifed the eastern warrior next to the lion (btw - correct call in playing risk adverse, Dreylin) and he survived the battle. I've sent him SE.

Western warrior is playing it save returning to garrison / settler escort duty for 2nd city. I wonder how many others have a second city yet.

Capital started on Monestory (10) and growth (7) - any other suggestions?

Copper in 4, I spent a worker farm cycle defogging 2 more tiles to the West (jump out and then back) - would hate to miss a resource by 1 tile.

Below is the current situation. I have a settler with the warrior ready to found the city next turn. Bronze Working (and the location of copper) is 2 turns away so I am tempted to delay settling by 1 turn just to make sure we don't miss out on copper. You can see the game suggested site and TMIT / Dreylin's suggested site. I am actually leaning towards the games suggestion - it would make a very nice capital location with all of those cottageable tiles.



India and Inca have a 2nd city - Exploit doesn't.

• Darrell: he was trying to say something about roleplaying religious differences (uh...not buying it) but everyone pretty much agreed that should be between him and you.

• Darrell: So his plan was to sling alphabet with the oracle, and get an8-9 team block together to trade not only classical techs but also ancient techs
  
• me: but the thing that I respect about him the most is his ability to get other teams to do what he wants
  
• Darrell: Yes...a very dangerous ally
  still, best to keep him close and work behind the scenes against him. that ends up being easy since everyone is wary of him.
  
• me: he is very helpful and full of advise - but you have to be careful with what you give him and how you use his advice
  
• Darrell: agreed...I am in a bind in PBEM2 since we share a continent.
  
• me: this is the main reason behind my 'not Krill' statements

• Darrell: Im still trying to figure out how to play it. I have Copper, but there is a ton of jungle seperating us, and he'll see an attack coming from a mile away
  I think he's pretty much netted us for round #1.

• Darrell: Krill never offered an inner alliance, and if he had we would have not accepted.

• Darrell: My theory is that you want to be surrouned on three sides by alliance members, so you can agress the fourth side without worrying about your borders.

This map has around 4038 land tiles. Assuming 2% water tiles gives 4120. Each team gets around 242 tiles (15.5 tile square).

4120 is either a 20 x 13 (4160) or 16 x 16 (4096) map.
