First, T1's invasion has progressed.
Instead of attacking the 2 Maces I left on the hill they've moved onto the hill next to the city, which, and this is important, is unroaded. Moving off of this tile will take another full turn for their army. They have moved a SECOND stack up to follow the first with a GG medic so I'm guessing this is not a feint. They have two workers in that stack, but they are not Fast workers and cannot immiediately road the hill south of the city.
It may not be clear, but I've renamed the city, "Not the Alamo" as all of my units have now abandoned the city. If T1 somehow raises an army or backtracks some how, they will face about 70+ units at Milkshake including the units I'm beginning to move from ASM's territory. Those units will be flexible and if need be will run back to his city, but T4 would need to start attacking this turn, and we can see into one of his border cities... Nothing doing.
I believe T4 and T1 are pretty much out of the running to stop us in time. I will of course have my units at Milkshake however, just in case something insane happens.
T3 border:
So there you see the path they will have to take.
Here's the power graph:
You can see they are consolidating the units under one power now that they know we have seen them. Before they were under both Dave and STM, and Warriorknight I guess. The point is they aren't "hiding" anymore.
I built 10 more Cho-Ku-No's this turn. Another 8 finish next turn. My 60 unit stack from wonderland is on its way. Yeah. I look forward to completely demolishing their army. If I fail to do so we fail. I'm going to let them walk right up to Beijing before I attack their stack so that they are sitting on flat ground when I hit them with everything. It's all flood plains after all.
Beijing:
Now that I'm in caste in China I have set every citizen to artist. It gives us more CPT then if they were working tiles and pops a 95% GA next turn. If RNG screws us this city will pop another GP at 99% artist in 4-6 more turns which is 1-3 turns before our deadline. So take that RNG. I'm working hard to eliminate any chance of failure.
This also allows me to turn down culture slider to 20% and send 50gpt to Wonderland.
Milkshake:
I have a stable CPT above the threshhold for the 8T win now. I will likely fire one or two specialists in a bit so that I don't starve, but I'm just trying to push out as much culture as possible right now, just in case when China's Golden Age ends we lose 10% on the slider here. I doubt that will happen though because ASM's empire is wealthing it up and can send an extra 20gpt if needed. But again better safe than sorry. I believe I need to maintain 521 cpt here and as you can see that's not a problem.
Istanbul:
I was a bit worried at this one mostly because with China popping GPs the cost of GPs here will go up and I don't think Istanbul will get to 6 GAs before 8 turns, so we need to maintain a high CPT here as well. The issue is that the CPT decreases with each passing turn by about 21 cpt. So actually this becomes slightly dangerous. But I believe the math works out that Istanbul will reach 11,600 culture in 8 turns
11600-9193 = 2407
479+458+437+416+395+374 = 2559 +353+332 = 3244
SO it'll reach it in 6 turns, and in 8 will be well over. No sweat.
The slowest city will actually end up being Milkshake so I'm considering if we get 2 GAs from Beijing to send one to Milkshake and we might even be able to shave another turn off the countdown. It's going to depend on how fast the second GA pops in Bejing once the Golden Age wears off, and I don't feel like calculating that right now.
Hopefully that gives you all a pretty good picture of where we stand. Once T3's army enters our territory I'll post up their unit numbers and our unit numbers. In the end we might be better off just having all the units just sit in Beijing. T3's cannons would lose a lot of effectiveness with the amount of catapults eating up collateral shots. But it would probably be more fun to attack them. I'll just have to see how many units they end up bringing and how many of those units can actually kill units...
