Yeah, it looks like I'm not going to have any time for testing this weekend either. Thankfully, we do have a good micro plan for each start; we just don't know if they're absolutely the best. So we do have something to go off of.

It seems this game is taking longer to start than we thought. I may have some time tomorrow night to do some simming, anyone else? And/or any thoughts on specific approaches I should sim out?

I don't think we're going to do any better than this. I got Stonehenge out end of turn 15 but that was at size one with only one worker and no work boats. With two workers I got it out end of turn 17, but that was still at size one. So unless someone else wants to take a stab at it, looks like this is what we're doing!

This micro can't work. Max hammers @ sz 1 before border pop is 3 (2H center tile + 1H working GF). The best I could come up with is EOT 17 Stonehenge (improved fish+1 worker). Still trying different approaches so can't say what the best micro is but on the bright side, looks like Oracle should be doable EOT 32. Depending on approach, BW is complete @ EOT 7/8.

Oh, shoot - yeah, both my T17 plan and Serdoa's T16 plan require working a tile outside our borders at the start. Can you show your T17 plan, Jester?

I just found a way to get it eot16, one work boat, one worker, just a little less food than Serdoa had:

I did a different approach and it gets Stonehenge EOT 16 (Bismark) and Oracle EOT 31 (Bismark). First, Stonehenge...

I wasn't sure if the wheat was wet (need to check live save) but regardless, improving the weat first is a mistake. The gem tile is the priority (need the commerce since BW->AH->TW->Pottery->Meditation->PH->Writing is a lot of techs). Anyway, have a look at the saves. Vicky could have easily gotten out a settler without impacting the Oracle date.
