regoarrarr Wrote:I canceled the worker roading towards the corn at Dance Floor. Is that really the best use of 3 worker turns? I know we can't farm the corn yet but just not sure about that. Feel free to overrule me.

I think it is the best us of worker turns. We want to be in position to farm the corn as soon as the borders pop, and 3t of roading now will save a couple of turns later, one to reach the corn and one to come back again.

Quote:Shouldn't Red Label be able to smack the rice pillaging chariot next turn? If he moves NE-N he won't have a crossing the river penalty and should be able to smack it before he can pillage.

Oh, OK I must have missed Red Label.

Do we want to move our healing chariots towards the action or keep them heealing in our cities? It's a shock, injured chariot vs an axe on a hill vs a slightly less injured chariot vs an axe in a jungle, where if we lose then we have to emergency whip an archer. I think the former is best - move southern chariot north.

We're going to get our rice at the capital pillaged, nothing to help that.

I moved our archer Harp towars our centre, but he won't get there in time for the southern barb.

I missed this since for some reason the "jump to newest post" button went past this one.

Come on sooooo, show me some credit wink The rice axeman was never a threat barring loosing a 99% battle, and I knew the archer couldn't make it in time, which is one of the reasons I didn't move him earlier.

Jungle axe will give us our first not-great-odds battle, but we'll never have to slave an archer with the penalty. If our chariot looses AND our HA looses we'll move the second warrior we have available into our capital buying enough time to bring another chariot into play.

Yeah, sorry, I just didn't see Red Label.

Workers moved, only the prophet left to move.

I think we should build a worker and then a settler in the capital after it grows.

Chopping at mechanical bull continues - we are chopping a stable and will then chop a HA.

Sounds good to me. I've been moving our warrior down south trying to figure out the approach path we can take to hit Krill or Carthage. Pretty soon we'll want some more HA for that, but I think the military units we have are otherwise pretty good...I've got to think aside from diplo we're in good shape with #3 military (though a lot of that is forges, stables, and barracks) and 6 cities with the 7th on the way. Of course the lurkers may be laughing at the 20 units on their way to kill us, but nothing we can really do if that's the case.

Krill's power is going up fast.

I would not be the LEAST surprised if he sends WCs+Numids at us...or even a stack of swords, thought those risk getting spotted. He did tell me via chat he expects to be killed, so maybe it's defensive, but I think Krill views us as the major threat. The good news: nothing they can field has odds versus horse archers other than a spear stack, so as long as we can limit the number of potential attack paths a bit we should be able to hold out with an HA stack. Obviously we can get some axe+spear combos near borders cities too once we get metal up.

OK, I think it would be prudent to double whip another HA from HH and then overflow into another unit. Build changed from library to HA, whip next turn.

Prophet moved towards Ruff's warrior. Can the diplo-core email everyone's favourite australian to ask the man with the big club to escort His holiness?

Turn ended.

BTW, we do have iron hooked up now.

I believe darrell confirmed with ruff that his warrior was available for escort

Cool. We want spears and axes, and the spears can be 0xp if it works out better. I'd say once we have 4-5 HA we definitely then want at least an axe+spear pair in the south and west.

So you're selling the Prophet to Ruff? What's the price? Have you told Krill?
I have to run.
