Lubjana has an offer for me which I accept. I have 2 trade routes going there already so should get some gold out of this.



What we really need is a military alliance. I had hoped to get that with Kaiser but hey ho.

I buy a wat and then kind of regret it perhaps better to have bought a knight or something.



This is strange i am Suze but have no visibility. Any ideas Sub might put anther envoy in. would get gold by doing so and i will ave 10 sitting doing nothing soon.



Upgrade a Frigate and am building galleys most places. walls at Kamara.

I didn't realize they shared vision with Norway. No wonder they found and sunk my frigate. they will also know where my traders are.

IIRC a military alliance doesn't gain shared visibility until you reach Level 2, which is going to take a while. There were a couple of military alliances in PBEM 18, might be worth checking the threads. IIRC my military alliance with Canada didn't give me visibility on their units initially - my traders handled that.

I don't know what's causing the visibility issues at Antananarivo. See if it sorts itself out next turn.

Yeah, that's how I noticed the military alliance between Bruise and CMF/MptF (F-Troop?) [AGARN!]

I think we were a wee bit slow with The Bruise Brothers they would have given us that alliance I suspect.

Kaiser did a citrus for Hog deal with me. I suspect They just don't want locked into peace with us for as long as 30 turns. We aren't a threat to each other for now but if they sweep aside The bruise brothers they will want to be able to go after whoever from us and Russia.

That may change depending how they are doing.

Turn 130

So...let’s see what Russia’s been up to…




Well, that’s over with. I don’t see any units off the Chinese coast but they’re likely in the fog. Over on Big Island, however,




Hmmm...interesting. I bring the horseman up from Mother & Child, but stay out of frigate range. Archer upgrades to a crossbow and I do 62 damage in the city attack to one of the frigates. I also start bringing the spearman down from Graceland. Roland, I may be asking for some cash for upgrades to occur the turn after next. Those frigates will take the walls down to zero next turn and I’d expect to see some land units showing up. They do not have any friends in the fog, at least, not yet. I’m assuming they’ll show up once the walls are down next turn.

The galleys up at Good Time have disappeared into the fog. My own galley ventures out, slowly, and finds two galleys 3 tiles SE of the city. Everyone is hanging out down there, waiting for something. Jong checks the southeast, finds nothing. Confucius hangs out in Lake Mackay. Chariot and other jong are picking their way east/northeast.

It’s going to be an interesting few turns.

Roland, see if you can offer me a military alliance next turn. I’m curious to see if a “team alliance” is different than the alliances offered by Civil Service. If you can’t offer me one now then I’ll do so when I complete Civil Service.

Ljubljana lost The Writing on the Wall back to Archduke. However, despite the presence of a governor the city is due to flip in 7 turns.

We’ll have the World Congress after next turn. That’ll be interesting.

Need to get the Colossus built and that copper up. Need a tile for Colossus though so that's a bit away.

I asked again for a DOF last turn fro kaiser as i thought they may reconsider in light of Lubijanas Military Alliance. They accepted.



and better still we have a Military alliance.



Great news I would say. Then of course my arse collapses but it's miles away.

Sub what would we need to do to get Niter numbers up? Buy that tile on main island?



Something still strange at Antananarivo I put 2 envoys in here and 1 at valetta for the 3 extra gold per tun and it hasn't helped. Must be a bug. can you see Valletta ok?



I am still getting the bonus from it at least.

So will finish Square rigging in 3 turns.
