Now that there talking about city gifting and what not for whatever purposes...do they not realize this has already been going on between DSPlasited and MH & Kodii?

I look at it this way:
Gifting the unit unlocks building a specific building. You still have to build the HE. So it's not like you're getting something for nothing. Fine with me.
City shuffling allows for half-price buildings. Again, not something for nothing, but it's a clearer benefit. I'm ok with it, but I see the objections.
Wonders, however, are one-civ only. Letting all your allies benefit is a little nuts. Especially when you can gift the MoM city, fire off a GA, and then gift the MoM city back FOR NO COST. This I don't like.

We're back! The new developments are the imminent shady/Imhotep attack on Ruff, and the outbreak of a war in the southern tundra between Broker and kalin. My thoughts:
- regoarrarr is in serious trouble. His own army might be able to stop that attack, however his defensive units are out of position, anticipating a strike in his extreme east, not his south. I think the border city down there (Southern Township?) is certain to fall, and possibly another one.
It's a bit strange that Imhotep is willing to make a move like this that does absolutely nothing to benefit him. shady looks to come out of this a big winner, regoarrarr falling back towards the rest of the pack, Imhotep remaining one of the weakest players.
- kalin has been acting really aggressively towards Broker, but he has virtually no military forces, while Broker has a stack of a dozen horse archers just out of view. I don't think any cities will change hands here, at least not right away, but kalin seems to be rattling the saber without much to back it up.
Still don't understand the play of any of the three eastern teams: Ruff, Imhotep, or kalin. Nothing any of them have done has made sense to me the whole game...

I think you mean Regoarrarr and Kodii right?

Lots of people have decided that they can't win this game
I wonder how many think they can...

Things are getting interesting! Poor Krill/Yazz. If this alliance goes through, there will fall behind in tech by a lot.
I wish they don’t take broker just to keep balance…

I don't feel quite so bad for Krill and Yaz. They've been receiving gifted techs and contributing nothing in return on the research front for quite a while, while spamming tons of cities all over the map, beyond what their economy can actually afford. Basically, they were coasting on the alliance structure and letting everyone else do all the work. If I were dsplaisted or Kodii, and carrying the research load for my alliance, I wouldn't want to keep sending techs away to Krill/Yaz while they grew more and more powerful!
Downside of stealing sunrise's workers in the extreme early game: you make an enemy for life, who isn't even interested in winning the game, just getting revenge. I said at the time I thought that was a mistake, and I still think so.
This should be a lot of fun to watch. A number of teams have survived only due to the fossilized alliance structure. Time to start pruning the deadwood, methinks...

The one I feel most sorry for is Elkad. Sullla makes valid points about Krill. Broker may regret his long(?) NAP with mh/Kodii if he's not invited to the new alliance.
Anyway, this promises to be entertaining.

By the way, how the hell did mh/Kodii make it to the fantastic five, considering their crazy opening!? Dumb luck or skillful recovery?

Dumb luck mainly: if it wasn't for UTA they'd have surely been a target for ruff (who was also playing extremely badly). mhk were shielded by their allies and their wonderspam has paid back in ways that it couldn't have if they were on their own.
Rego logic in picking his new partners is based on how active the players are (aside from Yaz/Krill, and his de facto vassal sunrise). Will be interesting to see how this pans out.
