After I ended turn (And took that screenshot), I realized I needed to swap production to the 3 hammer tile, which I did.

Took the worker down to 8t and BW up to 13.

So obviously we got grass pigs (6/0/0) and you can also see coast up there.

Plan is NW-NW-W-W with the warrior - suggestions welcome.

We really need to get a plan up before too terribly long for once the worker / BW is done

I agree w/ NW for warrior, but maybe no further than that. Settling on plains hill 1N of the rice looks great - we can even work the 1/2/0 forest grassland and make a worker while waiting for borders to pop. Also, pigs = another reason to delay Ag. wink

Sunrise and I got a PM from ruff asking us for an email for our civ. I logged in game and foudn that we had indeed met.

Also, the coastal tile we thought we had discovered was in fact..... a lake frown

Sunrise I assume you'll set up the DJ Civ email and send it to ruff. We should probably come up with some sort of opening persona, and how we want to play things.

I think ruff is a great find for neighbor - he's a regular so he won't be as awed by our band status lol

Note that he has a scout and has not built a warrior yet (no soldier increases yet), so we may want to give him some sort of assurances about not capital stabbing him early

Isn't Ruff Ragnar of the Aztecs? I'd prefer to find his capital and take it out to be honest. Or at least threaten it and get some concessions. Of course, that would leave our capital unguarded lol.

Ruff is Napoleon of the Aztecs I believe. He's got a scout and it's Turn 6, so his capital is probably another 10 tiles or so north. I doubt we could get there before he built a warrior

Email from Ruff:

Quote:Greetings to India from Rapoleon_Hi, Ruler of the Aztecs, Light of the World, Supreme Arbiter.

It is with joy that I find that I am not alone in this dry, desolate world. My hope is that the great nation of the Aztecs can live comfortably side by side with your great nation so that together we both may thrive. As you know, I am situated to your North, some 6 turns worth of travel (or 12 turns for your slightly slower fellow). Feel free to make the journey so that we can share food ... and maybe our warrior types can participate in some friendly wrestling.

My one true hope in all of this is that we will become fast friends.

Greatest regards,

Now - out of character ... don't bother trying to swarm my capital, I already have a warrior in place . From observed and participated experiences in these games, the teams that do the best are the teams that don't need to spend too much time worrying about security. The need to form strong partnerships in this game is even important given the tech trading rules. It is my hope that the Aztecs and the Indians can form a strong partnership so that together we can both make it to the end game.

Regoarrarr, is he lying about the warrior? Before we write back we need to consider:

1) Do we want to call him on it if he's lying.
2) Do we want to try early aggression towards him?
3) Do we want to push for some sort of diplo pact...if we expect people to be more aggressive in each successive pitboss game then keeping jaguars out of our land will be nice...they can't really capture cities, but they're more or less impossible to kill on plains hills.
