Sareln has had the save for over a day now... He did say he would be sporadic for the next week. I don't want to be pushy when there is Real Life issues so i'll see if he still has it tomorrow.
Crafting comes in, the Tech is good and we're now down to 15 turns to get Mining in. This is a good tech rate, with the goblin finishing next turn it is my last chance to either start the Settler NOW or to wait for the main city to grow to size 5.
The Winery itself will take 4 turns to come online. After that the worker will have nothing to do except build another Farm.
Demographs
We're not doing so bad in demographs considering we started behind everyone else. Our Solid #1 In soldier score should be good for threat value.
Now you may be wondering what is going on with little old Mork?
Mork crests over the most recent Hill and finds Rivendell!
And yes Mork IS noting that nice forest trail out into the black. If I want to piss off the Elves I could start a fire along here and let it spread into the Capital.
Following is all of the graphs. I'll put all of my C&D stuff together and update the first page of contents so I have an idea of what is going on. The first point is that the Elves were the ones to loose all military units. So both of their scouts must have died.
The Elves are someone I could try to keep happy. Not someone I see as a threat or an annoyance. My initial thoughts were to try to befriend the Elves. If I had another Wolf Rider I might try rushing them. But it doesn't matter what I want... It matters what THEY want, and how I can twist that to my benifit.
I think my angle for the first diplomatic message should be;
Wary, A hint of a threat that we believe we CAN kill them
Respectful, They have a hard to rush nation and they know it
Coy, We could work well together, but for that to work best we need someone we both can see as a target (Vamps?)
I could be forceful to grain a Land Agreement in the south later on. This combined with other things could make Sareln believe he has figured out we are going for a land grab. (which we want him to believe so he doesn't cotton on to the "Burn the world" plan)
I'll polish up the C&D and draft up an initial first message. I hope the Horde Members can weigh in on their opinions of everything.
I didn't count the exact amount but it looks to be around 20 Tiles distance between our Capitals.
Here I will attempt to summerise the Point score so far now that I have a rival to try and do a Summery for. This will get updated now and again and be a conclusion for the first 25 turns for all scores. Then a summery for each person
+ 17 For Palace Wonder
+ 3 for 1st pop of city (All cities are size 1)
+ 11 for first tier tech
(Which nation has what?)
Hippus = Agriculture
Ljosalfar = Exploration
+ 18 for Bannor (+11 for 1st tier tech, +7 for Land Score)
+ 9 for amurites (+7 for Land Score, + 2 for ?)
+ 10 for Hippus (+7 for land score, +3 for pop point, Capital is now Size 3)
+ 9 for Calabim (+7 for land score, +2 for ?)
+ 4 for Elves (+4 for land score, they must have bad land)
+ 7 for Orcs (+7 for land score)
Amurites & Hippus go after us in turn order. Thus should they get a land score?
+ 11 for Calabim (Tech points, 1st tier)
+ 11 for Elves (Tech Points, 1st tier)
+ 4 for Hippus (Pop Point? the right score maybe an event to go to Capital size 4)
+ 21 for amurites for 10 land growth (second border push, same score as orcs, good land?) & 11 for basic tech
+ 11 for Bannor for ? land growth & + ? for something else
+ 10 for Elves for land growth (second border push, same score as orcs, good land?)
+ 8 for Calabim for land growth (second border push, some bad land?)
+ 8 for Hippus for land growth (second border push, some bad land?)
+ 14 for Orcs for 4 for pop growth (Capital = size 4) & 10 for land growth (second border push)
+ 3 for Amurites for pop growth (Capital = size 5)
Amurites were the only Score Increase and one of the cities grew to size 5. Ergo I must have a made a mistake previously.

As you can see even an Orc God isn't all knowing! Any help on some of the bumps in C&D spying would be helpful. At the moment I'm uncertain when the land points come in. I thought it was maybe turn 20... Then it usually takes 2-3 turns for the borders to pop and gain more land. Is this right? Some numbers match but some don't. I'll go track down someone who is better at C&D and steal some tricks. But for now the information is up.
EDIT: I went back and looked up my own score point increases to get a better idea of what is happening. There is still a few question marks here and there. Even with huts and dungeons removed, events can still add enough mystery to things.

Be careful, there might be hardcore LotR fans that won't be happy with this! Except if I know less then I thought about LotR and Sauron was indeed the White in some previous time... I've never read the Silmarillion after all (too boring :neenernee).
I wish I could help with the C&D, but I took a look in your questions and I wasn't able to answer them.
Here's the potential letter, It's a bit short, but it should be okay. I am making the first move.
Quote:It was a brisk summers day in the land of Rivendell, atop the Mountain Forest in the southern border of Elvish lands appeared a Strange Goblin. He proclaimed himself Mork, the Left hand of the Red Wizard. Clothe'd in Red and White the small thing was a creature of violance. Each second parts of Mork would twitch, indicating it's desire to do great violence upon the Elves of Rivendell, yet someone Mork found the will to hold back and resist his inner urges.
Eventually a gift was presented to the Lord of Rivendell, a PalantÃr, a magical artifiact that would allow the two peoples to communicate. From the misty orb came a deep pre-recorded voice;
"Lord Bombadil, Master of Wood, Water and Hill,
Many good tidings to you, I, Ravus the Red Wizard, greet you in the Name of Isengard and the Orcs of the Clan of White Flame. Recently the Wizards of Grey and White battled over the future of our land. They both were petty and short sighted, spouting philosophies of good and evil, when all that matters is POWER, and who wields it. Thus in their foolishness, they were struck down. Now Isengard is ready to claim it's rightful place as a great power of this land.
Everything is progressing as we have desired and soon the Orcs of Isengard shall expand into the Fangorn Forest, it's rich in resource and Orcs are willing to plunder natures bounty if neccesary, after that we will turn to the whole of the southern landmass. But do no worry our lands are far apart and it has taken none stop travelling to find you. Borders are something to worry about for the future...
Light on his feet Mork tells me he has ventured over 20 leagues to find you, he is my trusted left hand. The first born Goblin of Isengard he walked far from the south, through the deep forests and the Misty Mountains. Battling Griffins, Spiders, Lions, Wolves and Elephants, we were begining to fear we were alone in the world. Yours is the first people we have found and now there is much we desire to speak on. But do not fear, while many Orcs might wish to strike when they see weakness I merely desire to talk.
Land around us has been more barren then we expected. The Capital is founded deep into the South Pole and we believed the land would be greener further north, yet this has not been so. Plains and Desert fill the line with only sparse showings of grass. If not for the abundance of Animals to Pasteurise it would be unliveable. Have you discovered similar in your travels? Spies hint that your own land must be pretty sparse.
Offerings of substance amount to little in the early days of advancement. Things offered in bribe or demanded through force backfire so easily... Yet early talks can shape things so profoundly for the future. Annoyances can be nurtured or alliances struck before the flames of civilization have spread. Do you have anything you wish to ask of me? Or anything you are willing to share without prompt?
No matter what, perhaps you have a direction for Mork to venture? A hint of other lands to head towards? We hear rumours of the Horse lords of Rohan and myths of other Magicians and even legends of Great Dark Bloodsucking powers. We could be in debt to anyone with information on these matters."
We mention the weakness as a hint we are checking the graphs and keeping track of the scores, we also hint we know about which tiles they are working.
I feel this needs more...
EDIT: Switched things around, I try to be a bit more open in information and prompt him to reciprocate the gesture while hinting that I could be much more demanding in informational exchanges. I state middling goals and hint at future wars I wish for. I'm much happier with this now.
Oh I also added in the not-so-hidden-because-I-want-them-to-find-it message "Mellon" Down the left hand side. It's the Tolkien Elvish word for Friend.

I'm looking forward to see the diplo!
oops...
changed Sauron to Saruman!! Silly me, don't want to upset the LoTR fans, those guys are hard core! Trekies just play with phasers, LoTR fans swing around swords!
It's okay, none of the missing details seem important. Just posted the diplo as well for you to peruse.
Diplomacy Update: Mackoti looks like he may wish to stop playing and trade over to someone else... Yet he mentions this in the FFH2 PBEM VII thread not this one... Wierd guy. I'm sure he's nice but it's strange stuff like that which would have me trying to organise a coalition against me eventually.
