Better Moe than Yuno?
Well debatable.
In other news, GermanJoey lost a city to suttree. I'm looking forward to next turn, I want to know how many cities Zanth/Bacchus has. I should have kept track of that. Oh well, next game. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the faster leaders have 8 cities by now.

Gavagi does not have a CRE leader right? That means we should be able to control the stone tile. Also I do think Yuno should get the moai just because it's currently more developed and will be able to land the Moai sooner.

While I'm waiting for people to make their picks in PB22, here's a quick update:
Met Zanth they have 6 cities, remember they built the Oracle:
I took a stab at dotmapping our east:
Gavagai plans to pinkdot us:
Should I take the settler there now to claims the deer? Depends on what Gavagai does.
Settled our 7th city, Asuna:

Gavagai's planning to settle in our direction no doubt. I bet he wants it one north of sheep. Sorry, but I do have a problem with that. I'm going to settle where I put the sign to block him off.
Why? Let's take a look at the bigger picture:
What I find interesting is that both the stone and marble is exactly 9 tiles away from our capital towards Gavagai and Zanth respectively. My theory is that the stone and marble are the midpoints between our civilizations, meaning we are 17 tiles apart. I'm not willing to give up the deer/sheep spot, which is exactly 9 tiles away from our capital. I'm taking the sheep, 8 tiles away from our capital. He can have the deer, that's fair enough in my eyes. Even if he can't get it without settling by the clams and getting a border pop.
I suspect that there's another civ lying to our northeast, which would make it a continent of 4. Perhaps there's two such continents.

So I got a question, we are in a turn split right now with Gavagai because of potential war/settler races.
I'm playing after Gavagai at the moment, but he logs in every time after I've ended turn. Should he be doing that?

Well I did it. Yes, this is a bold settlement and I hate to name a city after a character that I actually like at a potential site of conflict. Here's our 8th city Kurisu:
Next turn I will settle an island to give us some intercontinental trade routes to help our crappy economy. The good news is that Gavagai's economy is just as bad if not worse than our own economy.

I think we should focus on settling the more contested regions first just to secure them since those islands look basically guaranteed for us.

Normally I would agree with you, but settling contested regions doesn't matter if we can't defend them. A lot of our military is tied up at the moment. Why? Because Gavagai might get frisky:

Gavagai used a Great Engineer to rush the mids.
Cute.

So what I'm hearing is that you're *not* currently facing crossbows...
