Turn 147: You break it, you play it.
suboptimal, my plan b is for us to stay alive long enough to sign a military alliance.
The fleet was split? That’s one fleet.
to buy a caravel to raise the city defense in Hollander and for a trebuchet, desperate but necessary. Not keeping caravels in my cities, along with losing the bastion policy, is definitely a lesson I've learned on Roland's dime.

Turn 147
A turn has come in! It’s been quite a while (um, 30 days, actually ). What was I in the process of doing? Oh, right. Getting my ass kicked by Russia. Let’s see how that’s going:
Yep, about what I expected. Even better, both of my homeland cities are losing loyalty because China gives me no pressure and they are too far apart to support each other. Pingala, who recently lost his location, goes to Obvious Child since that’s the one that’s worse for loyalty right now. Proof is almost dead and Liang will go to Diamonds when that happens. The crossbowman there kills the trebuchet which might slow things down on Big Island a little bit.
My trebuchet outside Al pillages the Shrine for 115 . I don’t know what, exactly, I’ll purchase with as a ship seems kind of useless. Actually, a Jong at Obvious Child would help with defense there so I do that. My trader at Diamonds heads to Connor Goldson for and some .

What do we want to do here.
I can take back over China but reporting will be minimal.
Bruindane you could cover Sub?
I am also perfectly happy for Bruindane to continue with china.

The good news is that we held back on revealing insightful plans to our new Russian player. My one suggestion is that we could levy Antananarivo's troops to support suboptimal. It's quite expensive, more than we have, and a gamble that it is not mostly ships trapped behind the ice. Trading for to levy sooner perhaps.
I can do turn-sets for either China or Indonesia (assuming a token), or keep throwing out suggestions here.

What does the value look like on that?
isn't a fair portion of their troops blocked in and out of date.

Likely, maybe suboptimal's new Jong can take a peak.
The other meta-consideration, is to reflect that we are fighting for survival, and not to directly support or hinder another team's victory condition. Sue for peace? There's also the new emergency for the capital capture to ponder raising.

Most of Antananarivo's land troops can get across the strait. Their ships were galleys last we saw them and were blocked in by ice. Levying will cost 1380 , though, so that's out of the question.
The fact of the matter is that we don't have the land units to counter Russia's units in either strength (knights, man-at-arms, crossbows) or numbers (look at Proof).
My expectation is that this game will be conceded to Russia once my collapse is complete barring a large turn around. I don't think Russia will take peace except for a complete surrender of Indonesian territory, which pretty much only saves them time.
Bruindane, I've PM'd my token and you're welcome to play the save until my return on Friday.

Bruindane why don't you just play China and the game can wait till Friday.
I am struggling for time here and would need to do a lot of catching up.

I am struggling for time here and would need to do a lot of catching up. I suppose we are discussing the best path to choose in our death spiral. I do have a small window to play right now, so I'll do so.

We certainly won't be winning.
Russia may face competition from the bruise brothers. Not sure at all of the state of the game.
