Is that character a variant? (I just love getting asked that in channel.) - Charis

Mooooooo.... wait, wrong animal. Neeeigghhh

I grabbed the turn in a rush last night. Found another hut near the Standing Stones that can be popped in 2t - there is a peak and coast blocking the direct route.

I forgot to mention that I robbed the grave the other turn and got a pittance of gold.. ~35 iirc. Our maintenance went to -3gpt on founding our 2nd city. More than I expected tbh.

End of turn Ascot grew to size 6 and into unhappy, but the silk plantation should finish next turn so we won't lose any productivity. We need to shufty the tiles around in Ascot next turn to maximise hammers and bang out 2 quick warriors for Orthus preperation. Seeing as we are at the happy cap for a little while now it is a decent shout anyway.

I am really busy this weekend so if you get a chance to play the save Iskender, I'd appreciate it. :neenernee

Oi, there's a chance I ruined the micro. My ancient laptop has an obsolete version of Office and couldn't open the sheet so I played it by ear.

There's a well-fed lion separating us from our eastern neighbour.

I moved the scout onto the forest.

That lion can make like a tree. Should be fine on the micro. Next turn build another warrior in ascot and work the same tiles as before. I'm think we maybe would benefit from exploration after mysticism instead of animal husbandry. Trade routes, mobility (from roads) and +1 smile at ascot, + 2 smile in Epsom, can only be good!

I just realized it can be imported:

Seems clunky but works.

Turn 50

Finished a warrior in Ascot and built another one in 1t.

Managed to out play the lion so we can pop the hut next turn assuming nothing comes out of the fog to eat poor pedigree.

No screenies i'm afraid.

T50 update:

We have 2 cities -

Ascot size 6 and Epsom size 2

6 warriors, 1 scout and 2 workers.

Techs - Agriculture, Calendar, Crafting, Mining, Ancient Chants

We have contact with the Sidar in the south and know that the Illians are to their east. We don't know where anyone else is nor where the Sheaim used to live.

If anyone has any questions I'd be happy to answer them!

On topic: Orthus spawned somewhere in the bottom left corner of the map.

From the tech thread. Good news as it will give the axe to the Sidar for defence against the Illians! Bad news as the Illians will just take it from them. banghead

I clearly didn't wait long enough last night before turning my computer off as I open dropbox this morning and there aren't any new files uploaded...

Anyway.

Turn 51

Completed another warrior in Ascot and started a settler. Orthus shouldn't be bothering us and we have a decent amount of warriors at the moment.

In other world news: Serdoa completed the White Hand.

I guess the Sidars days are numbered. Anyone fancy a game of over or under? I'll start the ball rolling at 10t. I don't know if they have mining yet but I sent them a short message saying there is copper 1E of the Pyre. I don't think it will matter but why not. If I were them I'd build a settler and go invisible asap!

So that brings us to our next dilemma: Exploration (4t inc anarchy) or Animal Husbandry (7t inc anarchy) next? I queued up AH but I think that we should go for Exploration. With 3 cities on the horizon we need the extra trade routes, mobility and shared resources. Any opinion Iskender?

Lastly, I popped the hut near the standing stones and got a map. rolleye Actually though it was quite and interesting map... I'd show it to you if I wasn't a pleb. It showed the area to our east in quite some detail but didn't reveal any culture. I'm not 100% but I think that we may have started next to the Sheaim (RIP) alright There are some resources that are similar (sheep/marble) to our start and some fogged tiles that may contain the missing one... (wheat). I need to double check the distance from our capital to make sure it isn't just a similar area - after all, the terrain can be fairly similar on the same latitude, but we may have lucked out. I suggest we use that as our Horseman 101 training ground!

Count down till HBR is finished - eot 69.
