Is that character a variant? (I just love getting asked that in channel.) - Charis

Era of defense

I support the threatening of Katana. But I'm still hesitant on hitting it for real until we have a more secure defense ready.

This is the safest time to hit it, with their troops out of position.
If you know what I mean.

This would be ok. However we've much more urgent priority in Oxford University assuming we some day can focus on infra again.

Oxford is much more expensive, though, counting the prerequisites. The Globe has military applications, and creative theaters are cheap and useful in wartime. I agree we want both, though.

If we view this as a "final war" scenario, I still think the globe would be a worthwhile digression.

Yeah, but you can tell I'm horrible at poker and games of brinkmanship. Welp, here we go popcorn

We probably had to prepare for the chance that Tasunke lands his knights on the hill 2N from Bitter. Not sure he will declare after we sign peace with Gillette.

Civic switch is in order too. We probably have enough happiness after furs+gold+culture slider option to adopt Representation alongside with Bureacracy. Had to do a bit closer look at this. I'd also like to start Astronomy, but finishing Drama 1st is probably better. We can't leave that other continent to be settled by Gillette only. There are probably also more happiness resources there.

I wish Tasunke attacks. After that Knight stack is gone he probably could be rolled over.

You said something about him landing 2N of Bitter. But isn't it more likely that he tries to fork Bitter and HN? Or Bitter/Delhi/Ramune? It's not like he gets any defensive bonus from the hill, anyway.

Yes that occured to me too and I tried to move units to cover our best cities i.e. Ramune and HN as well as I could. Bitter also gets units from the SW. Only city he'll easily get would be Delhi, but that is not big loss. and we should be able to hammer those Knights after that having free access to do whatever we like when attacking.

Took a short peek. There is a lone Knight near EB and 3 new ones on Pidgeon Forge. I think our best bet is to focus on keeping Bitter and Ramune safe. I haven't simmed things out, but ~8-9 units in Ramune is probably good enough. Bitter needs probably ~12-13 units. Might be best to draft both cities and possibly also HN. Maybe also upgrade spear that is inside Ramune. We should probably leave Knight near EB alone.

We need to convert to Bureacracy also. Representation is still questionable, but I think gold and furs make that work well enough so we can take that too (haven't gone though all the cities). There will be some unhappy faces with Representation. Finishing Drama might be decent option too.

Old Harry did gift the Berserkers/Galleys. He did forget Workers (I've reminded him).
