4th techs? yikes

Looks like the Nyles border is absolutely the #1 priority, though.

Well, I think they're all cheap techs. My guesses are along these lines:

StarDoorOT4E
Starting Techs:Ag & MystAg & Wheel
3rd TechHunting, 92b (eot9)Hunting, 92b (eot9)
4th TechMining, 77b (eot16)Mining, 77b (eot16)

Haven't really crunched numbers hard, but it passes the eye-ball test. And keep in mind, we're not far away from our 4th tech: grabbing AH in a few more turns.

Speaking of which, a new turn rolled over night...

Turn 018

A lot of score movement this turn, but largely breaks down as follows:
  • NylesStandish, TBS, Nicolae Carpathia, gsorel, & Gawdzak all grew to size 2
  • DTG/picklepikkl & Borsche researched a tech (they were both already at size 2

12k of power happened outside of population growth, so I'm guessing a lot of the EXP players also finished warriors, but I'm not really sure about the techs gained. Mining or Mysticism are likely culprits: 8 turns since their last tech for both pickl & Borsche. Maybe Wheel if they have some extra commerce.

Warrior done, Cow pasture done. We're pulling in a nice 11 food-hammers each turn at size 2, and with the 1 hammer overflow from the warrior the settler is coming out in 9t.

Nothing eventful from the scout; honestly I like not finding anybody right now, it makes me feel more confident to go all-in on this pink dot play.

EDIT: With 9 turns to build roads for the pink dot, I'm proposing the following. This will let us move our settler t26, and move + settle on t27. We'll also be able to put 1 turn of road into the flatland tiles N and NNW of the warrior so there aren't any wasted turns.

Turn 019

Wetbandit grew to size 2 on the IT.

Here's some more crazy land to drool over

I think I've seen enough for now; going to send the scout back towards the capital to head to the south next turn, unless someone raises a good point against that.

Hope the scout wins without too much damage.

The maps for these games are usually heavily edited
So they tend to be quite lush. smile
