Krill knew the attack was coming so its not surprising that he was ready for it

Our HAs standing alone pillaged roads. Krill could have got 5 WC into Lakewood and got 1 pike blocking our attack path (forcing us to attack it). Instead we're gambling that they don't have 4 workers available next turn. The fast workers you see will be deleted soon by us ![]() superdoubledan: do you think we can take lakewood? me: yes if there aren't any surprises surprises = 4 workers on the scene, or an English stack, or Carthage pikes that can make it in the city (Carthage plays before us) T-hawk Wrote:I think this can be said without spoiler, just to perhaps put your mind at ease. Krill has not mentioned the mismove in detail in his thread. He twice referred in passing to "the misclicked chariot". And Krill doesn't strike me as the type to actually cheat. So IMO AFAICT, his claim is on the level there. Er, so that would make it a spoiler? Information from a private thread + potential effect on the game (politically) - how could that not be spoilerish?

Referring to deleting our pair of workers. Only Carthage logged in after us and they didn't slave, so I don't think forgetting to delete the workers until now impacted anyone.
4 pikes (1xC2, 3xC1) in Lakewood and one dead knight due to a 5th pike (attacking out?!). That's pretty much worst case. Tough to see how we can make a successful attack on 4 pikes...they're 6 + 100% + 50% + 25% + 10%, so about 17.1 strength versus 11 for our knights and 8.1 for our horse archers.
I evac'd our units. We (well, Ottomans) will probably loose a couple units next turn due to pikes. I could have cut a road, but only at the cost of four HA, and 200 hammers isn't worth one road cut.
I did not plant Northwest Border City, Sunrise Spot, or Rice+Floodplains since I'm not sure which spot will "wreck relations" with Byzantium. Fortunately lots of time left in the turn. In the south, won a 32% to kill Krill's war chariot and let our warrior survive another turn! ![]() I assigned new city builds, but a couple workers are unmoved because I was uncertain about what made the most sense.
sunrise, the unit not to move is this one:
![]() Purple is the spot on "our" side of the line we agreed on apparently (red line). So you can settle there. Darrell |
