I misjudged how easy dom would be. Im up for plauing to see how many civs we can xonquer.
So akatosh can play and hit one...more...turn..., perhaps? Ill keep playing on anyway one way or the other.

I would be gunning for conquest...except there are a bunch of islands (and at least one was settled on my set) that we literally can't take frown
Imay be interested in continuing regardless, I feel like we've just had a chance to get all our toys in the game. Regardless, I'm fine with akatosh taking it, makes it feel like the end of the set finishing it smile

Ok, I can get on board with reducing our goals to 'One More Turn' instead of 'must conquer' smile. See how far we can go, have some fun at the end of the tech tree, and quit when we get frustrated.

Sounds good to me. I'll play a 10 turn set and see how far we get. After we win domination I'll keep going.

Let's set a goal to take over the entire main continent. Maybe there is some way to get barbs to kill off the islands? I played a scenario called "cultured explorers" where I cleared out the enemy city with HN units, and a random lizardman killed off the AI. Are there units that have a random chance to turn barbarian?

It's also possible to get a war dec in an always peace game by using an AOE spell (e.g. tsunami).

Really? That's a stupid concept.
Only mercurians and Heralds spring to mind, but that's a diversion and a half.

Stephanos and Buboes are both pretty good at recruiting barbarian units mischief

A few interesting things happened during the turn:

1) We won! Turn 253:

with a score of Cthulhu:

2) The blight struck on turn 255. A lot of the AIs have techs on the religious line and are building Eidolons, I believe. Someone may also have the Prophecy.

I also disbanded the western Clan city after we captured it with culture. I lost a shadowrider and 2 courtesans at high odds in the process. Also, we should consider building Freaks/Harlequins in Esus cities, and upgrade some of them to Harlequins/Shadows. Sometimes we can get good mutations (eg cannibalize) and Aeron's Chosen might still be available.

We also need more adepts once Catacomb Libralus finishes--there are a lot of undeveloped mana nodes that could be converted to shadow nodes for our Nightwatch.

I saw that Orthus' Axe is in our territory, but it says the axe belongs to Decius and we can't pick it up????

3) Amelanchier bites the dust. How did he and Faeryl manage to get into a war in an always peace game in the first place? Did they use AOE? The AI doesn't usually do that.

Unfortunately something has just come up and I won't be able to play Civ for over a week. Please just assume you can skip me for the foreseeable future.
Faeryl has the Prophecy, in a city I think we plan on razing wink
Yeah I was wondering what was going on there too...I thought it might be the Svartalfar world spell.

I thought always peace only enforced peace with the Player ...?

If you plan on going one more turn, I'd suggest you KEEP the prophecy city and try to crank up the AC as much as possible :D (by razing as many OTHER cities as possible for instance, and by Spreading the Veil as much as possible, summoning Infernals, building Beasts of Agares, etc).

No, always peace is intended to give worldwide peace.
