The more ideal economic tech to lib would be Replaceable Parts, what with +1 hammer to every mine/windmill/quarry and yeah there's a lot of those on this map. Also getting the extra coin on every village/town is some benefit. But libbing PP gives up 2000 modified beakers. I am going to get within 1 turn of lib here, but I don't think clearing PP first is a worthwhile risk. I have been known to change my mind on occasion.

So assuming we stay with MilTrad, this city will be helpful:




Tech path afterward would include gunpowder, PP, and banking in some order. Would love to put a bank here, but it has another priority.




Also need to pave over that village with a workshop.

Pretty amazing that Borsche is ahead of me in MFG. I wonder how much superbuffed RBmod FM will help him. No one will open borders with me, so he's going to get a ton of free commerce boosted by that.

and duh, I also need banking to lib RepParts, which is another turn. That's cutting it too close. I'm going to take MilTrad and get working on universities and other buildings (like rax/stables) in key cities while I still have OR up. Gunpowder next then banking/pp.

Grimace accepted my OB offer while in game and my GNP went up to 1291; ill take the free 25 gnp even netting -4 in the deal.

I have a shot at opening up the sheep tile to hubbell before the peace treaty is over. Provided that whosit doesn't have nationalism or anyone GE rushes Taj, I'll be able to use that to clear possibly to rifling for cav. I'll enter war civics then and may stay there for the foreseeable future. Rep + Caste is such a huge advantage for me that staying police state/nationhood/slavery may not make sense, but then again, conquering the whole damn continent is a win button.

I hadn't realized you'd made peace with Yuri - you didn't mention it - but I guess it must have been around T146 from the screenshots. What does your cities screen look like?

Various infra builds and Taj. Should meet Whosit in 2 turns, possibly 1, but no one has nationalism as far as I can tell. f1 is before a lot of micro.







I'd like to fill in where I can. The islands are remarkably productive as they are nearly all flat, workshoppable land. It's a damn shame I lost a 17% to kick Yuri off of that island. Filler cities are pretty fantastic with Merc. This isn't really a filler city with two seafood, but it's never going to be able to build much without slavery.




Most importantly, our engineering feats are the envy of the world.

Might want to move the lighthouse to the other side of the island closer to that aqueduct. That's a bit of a hazard to seafaring vessels, yo.

Real Life has been appropriating much of my time lately, not that I'm a fantastic updated to begin with. I'm in infra build mode during enforced peace, but things should get more fun next turn.






Hard building Taj before anyone has Nat. Achievement get.

Tech will be RP->Gunpowder->Rifling. We'll see how far along to Rifling I can make it. If I do during the GA, it's full on military mode until Yuristan is mine. Chem->Steel is a lot of beakers, but cannons may be better than Rifles/Cavs in terms of effectiveness. I imagine conquering so much of that will lead to conflict with Borsche. Maybe this will spice up this game.

Jowy is massing his power again, so maybe he'll try and finish off Mardoc. Yuris has very little power and a growing stack of Knight->Cuirs should hopefully help finish the job I butchered last time around.

Good luck getting to Rifling within your GA!
Noticed you aren't using binary research... too casual for that? Or is it that you are the leader and dictating plans that everyone else has to react to, not reacting to what others are doing?

Two-movers are awesome. So in this map, that's rifles I guess. But CANNONS are the best!

If only you and me and dead people know hex, then only deaf people know hex.
