Working on a surprise attack against Krill. Hopefully I can knock out BJ with upgraded Cavalry (Capital that's cut off across the water) and NCIS with Circumnav-Galleon.

New updated full map stitch from T229 in spoilers below.
![]() Battle plan vs. Krill. Spy completes this turn in Chip's Challenge. The numbered signs indicate the time it takes the spy (PINK) to reach BJ and revolt, and the rest of the attack is timed around the spy movement. I have plenty of EP to afford the revolt without sitting stationary. I'll time the galleon to complete end of 2 turns before the spy reaches BJ, and on that same turn I move knights (YELLOW) into the picture on their staging tile. The turn before the spy reaches BJ I load up 3 Amphibious Cavalry, and also move the knights down into the tundra south of Chip's Challenge and upgrade to Cavalry. I declare war on the same turn the spy enters BJ because my cavalry need 2 turns of travel, but I use the galleon to raze NCIS immediately. ... this is if everything goes according to plan, and I like to be optimistic. Krill could easily redistribute his forces in the intervening 4 turns and render this too costly. Or worse, he could have spies in my territory and see the Cavalry upgrades. The staging tiles were intentionally chosen as outside city visibility range because I'm pretty sure that Krill has vision on everything Buddhist. He'll also have vision on that one galleon inside Chips's because I have to stall there for 1 turn after loading up the units because they can't immediately unload on the same turn.
What turn do you fort the plains hill - T134?
That might be enough to tip him off, so maybe do it earlier???

![]() Oh, and I almost forgot about this. We rolled an artists at ~7% odds. Fortunately I was planning to use whatever GP popped out of here for a GA.
Tomorrow is labor day, so I have no particular need to go to bed early.
Next turn, if everything goes according to plan, I'll be stealing Steam Power + Corporation from 2metra. I have 2 stationary spies at -50% in 2 different cities for this. I already have enough EP, just waiting for 2metra to complete Steam EOT (waiting on Corporation since it obsoletes tGLH). I'll also try stealing Physics from Bigger. I'm putting in +1300EP this turn, taking us to a total of about 2600 which I think should be enough for the ~6400-beaker tech (wow, is Espionage cheap or what). My spy will only have -40% so I may need to wait another turn. I get about 200 EPpt without the slider so this'll take us to 2800 with the one extra turn. After stealing Steam + Corp I'm going to pop the GA and max beakers on Assembly Line. The goal is Assembly Line + Fascism in 7 turns so I can hit Police State at the end of the GA. I'll swap back into Representation and run scientists and probably Research builds for max research again. The advantage of hitting to hard and fast outweighs the inefficiency IMO. I estimate 4-turns for AL + 2 for Fascism. After this the target will likely be RR, unless I see that 2metra hits RR and then I'll steal it ![]() This turn I completed Sistine in Postos, getting a total of about 850g in failgold plus the much needed Culture. We're up to +50cpt now since I built Hermitage a couple turns ago. I'm going to 1-turn a Confu temple here for another +10. Next turn I'll have about 3300 gold in the bank, losing roughly 400gpt. This is enough for 8-turn so it'll carry me through the GA at 100% research. I'm going to max research for two reasons: (1) I want Infantry drafting up ASAP, and I want to self-research Assembly Line so that I have a monopoly over trading ... meaning I won't trade it away and then hit whoever looks weakest. I'd like to leave 2metra alone since we currently have a nice Tech Stealing arrangement that I don't want to mess up (2) I'll get Factories > Coal power up-and-running ASAP and then it's time. Tanks will be the next big target after Fascism, and by that time I'll have Factories and Power up in all my cities. Add Police State and if I get to Tanks even 10-turns ahead of Bigger he's toast. I'll be banging tanks out at least 5/turn. I'll hit him with Tanks through the ice in the Northwest and march drafted Infantry and Cannon through his East.

I took another look-see at my map stitch and I'm still going to take out Commodore first, although Krill will be the real first target for Infantry because I want to remove that ever-present threat over there and hopefully place cities such that I have a nice DMZ culture buffer against Bigger. Sistine helps for that because a Confu Temple provides a healthy boost.
Bigger has about 50 musketeers and 20 cannon along my border. These are currently stationed opposite Krill's force in Dad's Army, staring each other down. I'm worried that Bigger will abandon his former-Krill city ad march his 50 musketeers at Blimp. Now that I have Cavalry to flank Cannon this isn't quite a big a threat as it was 10 turns ago, and as time goes on his musketeers get weaker and weaker. Once I can draft Infantry his Musketeers are effectively obsolete on Offense, which is part of the reason why I'm going to rush to Assembly Line.
