Yeah that will really hurt.

But I am really happy about this outcome. I normally don't follow the Pitboss games, but this game was hugely entertaining. The race Team 3 did against the looming CV, only to fall a few turns short. I don't think a modern era warfare between Team 1 and Team 3 would be as exciting as the last 30 turns or so have been.

would space victory work the same as the CV? the different Civs on a team could build separate parts of the space vehicle and they would count towards the requirements?

I think WK had a post that you can pool spaceship parts as well.

Having just tested it in WB, I can confirm that 3 legendary cities on the same team is enough for a cultural victory. Also dave, spaceship parts can be shared amongst teammates as well (see Kylearan's Adventure 11 for proof).

Team 2 is well set up for a cultural victory out of everyone in this game. Only problem is, culture takes time (well, aside from Milkshake with all those wonders there). Can they really hold off all of us and continue towards culture at the same time? A team game makes it more likely, but I'm not sure about it. In the meantime, we need to do what we can about this, and the best way we can do that is focusing on luddite.

I think that if Sullla has now explicitly stated that he thinks the victory is impossible due to the 3 cities thing, then we as lurkers have every right to correct him. This is a mechanics issue and no more. You don't need to give more info than that, simply:

"That's not actually correct from my experience" would suffice. Lurkers are always very eager to correct every mistake Sullla makes normally and I don't view this as spoilery.

Read the whole thread! There are a ton of great lurker posts before the misperception about the CV mechanic was make known. Like this one:
