Damn, we should not have given that gold to Nakor. Frankly he shouldn't have asked for it....at this point I think he's upgrading like axes to muskets ( )...if he wants to upgrade a few more knights he should be able to afford that cheap gold himself.
Does anyone in CUDDLE that's a non-researcher have gold available? If they do I think it's important enough to get it that we ask a CUDDLE member with their full allotment of pauses to pause the game until the gold gets traded to us.

Ok, last turn quick:
*Rome got a GEngineer
*that's pretty much it
This turn:
*Ottomans got another artist
We also have enough gold from Ruff, so Rifling due in 2t. Sooooo, we can take cities off research next turn if we can make Rifling in 1t.
I've been watching the forested hill down in Krill's lands that borders out southern city each turn. This turn Krill has finally started to road that tile, and will finish the road next turn. Until our borders pop in 4t that city can now be one-moved (from Babylon or Maya, no treaties with them), so I'm putting some more units in the city.
Sooooo, I moved the workers this turn.

OK, we pretty desperately need about 100g this turn in order to finish rifling.

Ok, T149.
Maya sends the following diplo message to our email:
Quote:Since at least 2 international treaties have been "forgotten", intentionally or unintentionally, in the last few turns (none involving Maya), I thought it was prudent to send out a reminder to everyone of the treaties we have. If this looks a bit like a form letter, it's because I'm sending this to multiple civilizations making minor edits, since we have very similar NAP's with several civilizations:
NAP: Duration: Indefinite until until superceded by mutual agreement or until 10 turns after either side initiates a cooldown/renegotiation period by e-mailing their intention to do so to the other, except as follows:
The "Don't Hurt My Friends" Clause: If you declare war on Mali or Babylon, we'll have the right to counter-strike in their defense. You (India) listed Aztecs and Byzantium as your civs with whom we could not declare without you being able to counter strike.
The "No Silly Shennanigans" Clause: In addition to just not attacking each other, both sides agree not to aid or support an attack on the other - for instance, no gifting units to another civ that's planning to attack the NAP partner, no providing right of passage to another civ's attacking stack, etc.
We fully intend to honor the no providing ROP for anyone elses stack to attack you, as well as the no gifting of units to a third party to fight a proxy war, and hope that you will honor your agreement not to do the same.
Also, in accordance with our boarder agreement, we're gifting you the gold in perpetuity, or, at least as long as we remain at peace.
Please post this in your forum so that all memebers of your team are aware.

In-game, I send the following to Babylon:
Quote:Babylon,
I have moved our mounted units out of city visibility/worker snipe range of your new city. We request you do the same with Go Away Please [their HA].

Finally I emailed CUDDLE about gold, and asked for some from Ruff and Byzantium in game. I pointed out in my email that we were actually still on schedule after painfully running Research builds in cities to make up for previously insufficient gold.
Not much to report in other news. Our five units remain in Incan lands...maybe they want to buy them from us (Cav upgrades are cheap). We pop borders along the Krill front in 3t, and we have enough chop hammers to make a quick library or courthouse or something after that.

Ok, the game is back on. Maybe in honor of old times sake (with Donovan playing) Darrell and Regoarrarr would like to become involved in the game?
Anyways, Ruff gifted us 500gpt and we gifted it back. Instead we're going to do manual gold gifts like before, as Ruff actually made the trip he set up the gpt deal for and returned during the pause
We have 2t left on our Krill peace treaty. I suspect Krill will try to one-move our city as he did Portugal, fortunately our borders pop the same turn the treaty can be canceled
Other than that....we still have 5 units in Incan land, which we may want to try to sell them. We may also want to get involved in the Krill v Donovan war if Donovan decides to not accept peace.
End turn, since we're the last ones...

T151 -
Rifling in. Mali gets a GEngineer. Krill switches to Serfdom and Nationhood. He probably wants to do some workers stuff at home while drafting, because otherwise switch to serfdom the turn of your attack (for road building). We'll need to watch the power charts and draft ourselves if things look dicey.
Rifling given to Ottomans, HRE, and Aztecs.
We should ask CUDDLE what tech we are to research next.
Borders pop in the south this turn-roll.

I agree we want more military right now, which is convenient as we have just learnt how to build riflemen and cavalry . I have set quite a few cities to "Research", waiting to switch to whatever unit you need, Sunrise. Quite a few of those cities we can afford to whip next turn.

Hmm.
Quote:To the leaders of Cuddle,
We are sending you this message to formally notify you of our intent to leave CUDDLE. Once you have read this message, our diplomats and military attachees will start informing their counterparts in your respective empires.
Please note that this decision has come after great deliberation, and that we have not taken it lightly.
The Ottoman Regime will guarantee that Steel is provided to all, provided the request comes before T155.
The best of luck to you all,
Warriorknight of the Ottoman Regime

Quote:Guys,
I think it is time that we start to think about attacking the Friendly Kittens. Their city placement and borders have left some pretty juicy avenues of attack open. I have a NAP with them that I am thinking of canceling (10 turn cool off) - the agreement also includes gifting units and right of passage for other units.
What do you think?
Ruff
I let Ruff know we have a NAP with them.

Quote:Hi Guys,
I know that you guys are party guys but you sure know how to milk a guy of his money. I sent you 250 per turn and it looks you you got to accept it twice - I am currently -221 per turn at 0% everything. Not only that - Sooooo has requested another 250g per turn. Gees!
Anyway - I am back until mid Sept so we can cancel all of the per turn deals if you want to.
Can we clean this up?
Ruff
I told him to cancel all deals and then just offer us what he could.
