Why, thank you! I'm rooting for you in this one But that means I have to be especially careful about posting here and possible spoilers. I want your eventual victory to be unquestioned, after all
Certainly it helps to be able to look over your shoulder at the test questions and your answers, though
Hopefully around Turn 50 I can compare favorably to this, despite my and and

So erm, why hasn't the Calabrim used River of Blood yet?
This is a really good question. I'm not sure what better time there is to use that spell besides after everyone has at least a size three capital- and according to the demographics, that should have been the case for a while now. I guess they could use it to recover from a blight or something, seems kind of silly to me though. +2 productive citizens in the early game should help them a lot more than two more unhappy red shirts in several towns later on.
Anyway, *I* like your thread :P
Can you build a whale boat yet? I forget if you need sailing or something else first.

I need Sailing first, and it will come later. I've got enough Happy to spare.

Well, either someone has said this in another thread, or it's news to you lurkers, but
No Orthus in sight.
Well damn, i wanted his axe :neenernee
So there goes my Warrior planning, urgh. Fortunately, 2nd worker will be done in 2 turns, in which production will switch to a Settler. If RoB strikes now however i'll switch to something else to regrow to size 5.
Also, ever since my elder council was done, i had a Sage specialist. Early Academy, anyone?

Metagaming time!
4 People apart from has posted recently. The Calabrim, The Golems, The Infidels and The Elves.
The lurker thread is strangely full of posts.
That can mean two things.
1) Orthus did not appear near any of us 5, and thus he's near Mist, Serdoa, or somewhere very far away and still walking.
2) Orthus did appear near said 4. Due to the amount of lurker posts, said person is now under trouble because he did not have enough defenses.
I could be wrong, but i hope i'm right =)

So did Orthus actually spawn, or are you assuming he did based on thread posts? You can check the event log to see what's up, if its the latter.
If he is about, it's also possible that one of your opponents is bragging that he's near them- you're surely not the only person who wants that axe, after all :P

Orthus did spawn, i checked the event log. But thanks to the PBEM nature, i can't tell where he spawned.

You could request a picture (or at least direction) from where he spawned in the tech issues thread. In my opinion, the player who goes first has an unfair advantage, since he is the only one who knows the place.
Not sure if the other players would agree, but it's worth the try, I guess...

Wouldn't it be the person who goes last who sees the spawn? The barbs move after everyone else, so the last player will be the one to receive the spawn message and arrow bubble.
