So true. Maybe new thread is in order.

I took a closer look at the situation. I think we're strong enough to split our forces. 3/4 should go in 1st and attack Pidgeon Forge+Cry me a river and 1/4 goes ~2T later against Shaistakoff (maybe around the time we get Berserker stack on range). Our main problem is the lack of catapults so military build should focus on those. Alternatively we can just throw maces in assuming limited amount of defenders.

Bitter looks like a good candidate to me. It can work cows, a plains hill, four grass hills and two grassland farms for neutral food and 20-ish base hammers. Our national epic city to the east gets the corn, and the filler city of Manhattan gets all the cottages.

Yeah Bitter is ok candidate. Ramune is other having more hammer potential and less cottages. Settling that Great general after Epic is ready should be considered. Maybe even sooner giving +3 beakers. Of course better to see, if we need him in this war before settling.

Ramune is better on paper but it's busy building Notre Dame, and I suppose we'll want to finish Paya too afterwards if it's still available.
