Btw, in the sim that I got, the world size is set to Huge, is that what we are going with? I remember someone mentioned Standard before, wasn't sure though.

I posted a few times that I assumed monarch/standard map settings with very little response. One post then says mapmaker's choice on those settings without any discussion again. I really think this needed to have been resolved prior to civ/leader picks because it makes a difference which combination is better depending on the settings.

So, does anyone have a strong preference either way?

Standard is a little crowded for 12 people, no? On the other hand, huge is a little big. I dunno - large seems reasonable to me - huge is ok - just means more land per person.

Jowy, can you PM me your pick? Joey sent me two maps earlier when you were the last player remaining. Basically if you kept your existing pick I'd host file A and if you rerolled again it would be file B.

I don't have any input about the map size setting. I'm a non-voting dedlurker, but yeah we need agreement on this before I start the game. Have we deferred to the map maker and whatever he chose in the map files or do I need to check the file and set something we have agreed to use?

Xposted with AT The actual size is the map is not up for discussion, it has the number of tiles it will have, whatever Joey made. We're only talking about map size as it relates to tech speed. Setting the map to huge will require more beakers per tech than setting it to standard, for example. That's where we need player consensus on a value to use.
