Ok then, here we go again. Everyone is getting too efficient now. I don't want to have to move 100s of units after a long day at work! But I'm so ruddy, bloody brave that I grit my teeth and do just that...

Firstly, TT had done a fair bit of damage to Ruff's stack, which will slow him down but not stop him. He said he was a few muskets short of really taking some units out.

This is the damage done to the power stacks, based on the demographics when I opened the save. Ok, Ruff didn't lose a great deal - less than 100k, ignoring builds/drafts.

TT also pointed us in the direction of Uruk Reborn, which I noticed we could see anyway. It's in the same place as Uruk, just one slot along. Grrr. We have an injured cavalry in the vicinity and a rifle a bit further away. I will try to ship some more cavs over here, although part of the problem is the slowness of our galleys.

Anyway, the mop up continued. Just a spear in Villa Park (the trireme had suicided against a caravel - may as well), so a CR1 mace took it out at very good odds.

...but the rifle had 90% odds. Needless to say that the archer didn't pose a problem.

I move in on Ewood Park with a decent stack (reinforced once I clear away more culture).

Up in the north, Anfield was better defended, but I again avoided losses, attacking with cavs then rifles.

Old Trafford has this defence. Bloody knights due to the iron. Actually, I prefer them to be city defenders, clearly; I just have to be careful about counter attacks, so I check everything 6 squares away.

You will notice that I selected Steam Power, which showed us the location of coal. One next to Gut Shot (mined but not roaded) and one next to Wheel (roaded and mined). Democracy is sort of due in 4 turns subject to funding, although we can use a bit of Wealth building if desperate.

Right, I have two more settlers heading north. Where do you want to settle them? Here is the north-east. Maybe the iron/corn spot?

The other one I plan to put next to the cows - and now coal! You can see how close our cavalry is, which will go SW and then SW-NW to have a look at what's in Uruk Reborn.

Man, only need 10 new city names. When I get a bit of time, I will rename them all.

I started levees in PB and SL, and a few jails too.

So we'll take Ewood Park next turn, Baseball Ground in 3 turns. Old Trafford will hopefully fall in 2-4 turns (depending how many mounted units stay fit and healthy) and Craven Cottage in maybe 4-5 turns. All of which means that UruK Reborn could be for a while as the last city. How annoying.

Heh, well he didn't take long to outright tell us.

Let's just save it then. We might have a burning use in future. It's sat in PB with our only spy. And a few great people.

Just going to finish the Buddhist monastery for now - due end of next turn. Levee straight after.

So, 19 turns left of our NAP with Ruff. All units are marching west, but at some point some will have to turn around to reinforce the east.

Got a favourite for a city site in the north?

Actually we should road towards Uruk Reborn so we might as well let settlers follow our workers. 1NE of sheep and 4w of that (1w of the cav) looks good. Capture the barb city.

Ok, it's going to take a while for anything but the cav to get over that way, but I'll see what I can do. The cities will give us bases, I suppose.

We haven't got loads of units to defend the cities so I will found the coal/cows site and the NE of sheep site next.

Should do Astronomy soon - I want galleons!
