Gawdzak built the Pyramids. He's definitely one to watch now, with Great Lighthouse + Representation. Nothing we can do about it though... as far as I can tell we're nowhere near him.

Incidentally, Mackoti got a free autospread of Confucianism a couple of turns back. Which is particularly annoying since we haven't had a single autospread to any of our own cities in the whole time since founding Confucianism. How unlucky is that?

Offered Open Borders to both Mackoti and Haram for 6 gpt. Not sure they'll take it, but I feel it's a fair starting point for haggling. Hopefully they'll at least realise that if they want 10+ extra trade routes while we get 0 new trade routes, they need to split the profit in some way. Or else spend the resources to settle their own island city.

Mackoti accepted Crab for Clam recently, so we don't have need of Haram's Deer for the moment.

Academy time!

Plan is to switch to Bureaucracy + Organized Religion when Civil Service comes in. Incidentally, does anyone have the formula handy for when switching 2 civics at once goes from 1 to 2 turns of anarchy? I vaguely recall 17 cities on a Huge map from Pitboss 4.

Got diplo messages from mackoti and haram, with mackoti offering 2 gpt for OB and haram offering 3 gpt for OB. Mackoti is lowballing, haram is closer to being fair. Re-offered them OB for 5 gpt.

Thanks TBS... that means it's indeed 17 cities at which the 2 civic swap starts taking 2 turns rather than 1. (It's a Huge map, Ancient start, Normal speed.)

Met SevenSpirits. He has a heap of Calendar resources connected, and is trading Dye for Fur with Haram. Apparently Haram declared war on Seven at some time in the past, because there's a -3 diplo modifier between them.

Confucianism spread to one of Haram's cities... and still not a single damned autospread to one of our own cities. Seriously, we founded this religion 26 turns ago and have never had a spread beyond the free missionary. What are the odds of that?

Chopped the Granary in Jackal. Building a Lighthouse there next; the city of Elephant will provide the Work Boat for the Crabs following the border expansion.

Our GNP is decent, but barely keeping up with Mackoti's.
