Are knights the go-to for winning these kind of games?

I'm not sure if HA attacks are more decisive than knight attacks in general. In this game, my neighbours can get HBR before me if they want to. Rushing them with HA and impis might still work but it'll be bloody and probably not worth it. Better to use my city advantage to catch up and overtake them on tech towards knights.
There's still the thought niggling in my head though, if I let JR4 get his CKNs it's not going to be great for me either. So I might have to hit him after all with HAs after all. Or say if he makes the mistake of beelining Machinery for CKNs and omitting HBR, then I could hit him too. Right now, he's ahead in tech so I am in the position of having to react to what he does.

Don't let JR4 know too, but I've had tech visibility on him for the past 50 odd turns, and look set to retain it for another 20, which is great.
Oh yes, my biggest worry: it's getting to T90, and no one has built the Oracle yet. WLP might just bulb something ridiculous.

JR4 and Dark Savant have built walls in the bordering cities.
Simply paranoid, I'm not going to hit them yet for another 15 turns at least

It simply could be because they're attacking someone else and want to cover their other side. Dark Savant seems to be invading Charriu, and JR4 might be going after someone too. They both have top powers at the moment.

WLP just took two cities in two turns from Charriu. I'm not giving up just yet, but it's going to be uphill.
