[Spoilers] Honest Cyneheard inherits the purple.

Ilios,

You were saying we didn't need more troops? We're in trouble at Xenia. And since we don't have Ivory, no WE for us. He's got too much of a mobility advantage, and right now he's got the military tech edge, as well (HA and WE).

At least they're RB mod WE...small consolation, I know.
Merovech's Mapmaking Guidelines:
0. Player Requests: The player's requests take precedence, even if they contradict the following guidelines.

1. Balance: The map must be balanced, both in regards to land quality and availability and in regards to special civilization features. A map may be wonderfully unique and surprising, but, if it is unbalanced, the game will suffer and the player's enjoyment will not be as high as it could be.

2. Identity and Enjoyment: The map should be interesting to play at all levels, from city placement and management to the border-created interactions between civilizations, and should include varied terrain. Flavor should enhance the inherent pleasure resulting from the underlying tile arrangements. The map should not be exceedingly lush, but it is better to err on the lush side than on the poor side when placing terrain.

3. Feel (Avoiding Gimmicks): The map should not be overwhelmed or dominated by the mapmaker's flavor. Embellishment of the map through the use of special improvements, barbarian units, and abnormal terrain can enhance the identity and enjoyment of the map, but should take a backseat to the more normal aspects of the map. The game should usually not revolve around the flavor, but merely be accented by it.

4. Realism: Where possible, the terrain of the map should be realistic. Jungles on desert tiles, or even next to desert tiles, should therefore have a very specific reason for existing. Rivers should run downhill or across level ground into bodies of water. Irrigated terrain should have a higher grassland to plains ratio than dry terrain. Mountain chains should cast rain shadows. Islands, mountains, and peninsulas should follow logical plate tectonics.

He killed like 5+ units in Xenia with 2-movers. I've got a mini-stack up north that was chasing some stragglers and is heading south. Most cities have a few units in them because almost every city is a front city.

Xenia fell, and now our empire's split. I'm whipping what I can; Ilios, do you want to take a gander? I'm whipping more units, but I don't know if it's going to be enough once he heals up. Impis are friggin' annoying with this setup, their mobility makes them very frustrating.

Commodore's moving on the south. WE, HA, Impis, Catapults. Spears are the Defender of Choice right now, I think.

I revolted to HR and OR, as he can't take the city this turn, and we need all our cities functioning if we're going to produce enough men to hold him off.

Commodore went for Yellow Creek, but I killed more than I lost. Hill + Walls. Also got a GG, which I'm saving for 20 3XP units to promote to 4XP each. May build an archer and put the GG on him, for a free LB upgrade.

Dead yet?

No. I'll be able to build LB next turn.

I'm going to use the GG to get 20 units to 2 promos, and then plan a counter-attack on the first city Commodore took. I'm playing the turn in a rush today, so the report might have to wait.

Lost Mingo Junction. Commodore offered a peace treaty, and after some thought I re-offered it to him. I think with those 10t we can be much more ready to hit him, and we should be well on our way to Guilds by that point.
