Liar: someone who lies (tells untruths)
Lier: someone who lies (on a bed, for example)
I have to run.

Do you really need elaboration? Or do we have another pair with you and Jabbz?

I don't get the pair comment.

Simple are you and Jabbz going to play like zak+novice. = You attack one and the other jumps on you (because that's what you did). Do you feel compelled to save Jabbz from a lynch? Do you feel the strong urge to defend him no matter how scummy he is? Do you prefer to lynch villagers over your buddy? Are you and Jabbz planning to play the same like novice + zak that's what I wanted to know.

If yes I hope to lynch one of you 2 because one such pair is bad enough. If no why did you run to defend Jabbz the instance he got attacked?

(May 27th, 2014, 17:10)Azarius Wrote: Yes I would have appreciated elaboration, but now you've refused to answer and just turned the question back on me, thus not having to explain yourself at all.

I have not refused to answer. And it has nothing to do with appreciation but if you need one. Tell me why you need one and I give my reasons.

I do feel somewhat defensive of him, probably because I'm feeling a little guilty that I didn't get much of a chance to explain anything so he's jumping into what amounts to a fairly complex thing cold turkey. That being said, he seems to be picking it up well on the run. I don't think I would have any problem lynching him if I think he is scum. Which at the moment I don't.

You however just keep looking worse to me. Your explanation for your pair comment doesn't work. You seem to say it was prompted by me defending Jabbz "the instance he got attacked". You made the pair statement in post 28. My first mention of Jabbz all game is in post 59, where I do indeed defend him by explaining that his ignorance of the rules is not an act. It seems like you decided to make an argument and then went back to find details after the fact, and didn't notice that your argument does not work chronologically.

Also, your obstinance in refusing to give answers really is quite annoying. I don't think it's a scum tell, since you did the same thing in the paranoia game with Serdoa (in which you were town), but I also don't see how it can help.

As for the second, it's a girl scout cookie, so maybe Catwalk is a girl scout? I'm really thrown by it as well. I initially thought cream puff, but those have the eponymous cream centre, so that's a no go.

What do you think about some of the other conversations going on in the game so far?

Good to know!

I think I'm starting to understand how this works. Without knowing the roles beforehand it's a little harder to pin down people's psychoses in this game. Just need to keep up the naive routine and I'll be set
How can knowing what roles are in the game help you understand people at this stage?

To be honest I didn't really pay much attention to them. Pretty much the only time I've used forums in the past was looking for information on games, or when I used to sell stuff in AC, I've never really been much of a poster. I guess I either just assumed it was some sort of nudge/poke type action. TBH there is quite a lot to absorb here so I might miss a bit just due to information overload with little context to frame in it. One of the big issues I see myself having currently, based on a number of posts you guys are making, is that I haven't seen anyone here in past games, so I can't compare behavior now to behavior in the past. I suppose I could read prior threads, but I'm not sure I would get the same picture that way, because I would lack a vested interest in the outcome, and wouldn't do the level of analysis you guys did because you did have that vested interest.

Catwalk stole the cookie from the cookie jar.

Busted Gore, clearly you took the cookie. But like I said, no one should be worried about a filched sugar coma inducing girlscout confection, I'm far more worried about Azarius flaunting his baked beans.
Knowledge of previous games can be useful, but it's certainly not necessary. If you had time beforehand I'd say reading an old game or two would be beneficial, but atm I'd suggest focusing on the task at hand. Also, hands off my beans.

Well pity for the town lynch, but I don't blame the policy lynch, although I would have preferred someone else personally.

Goreripper, firstly you have yet to actually answer my question about what was "lazy" in Azarius' vote.
Secondly, this is the thought process for my vote on you: You are suspicious for reasons explored above, but let's stay on Jabbz to get an answer. Hmm, Sunrise is suspicious for his behavior, however he's just made a post about catching up on the thread approximately half a day after making his post about driving to work, and thus he's probably asleep. Therefore, I'm unlikely to get a response from him soon, let alone whilst I'm awake and can respond to it. Commodore is a suspicion I have and has some support so is more likely to have an impact on the lynch, and further I don't know when he'd be online so that could be soon (in general I don't have an instinctual knowledge of time zones in different countries largely because I live in NZ and thus don't have a good grasp of the whole U.S./European Zone). If I had realized that I wouldn't wake before the lynch I might have changed to Sunrise, but I didn't particularly mind either way. (And I copied other peoples posts because i was tired and was asked to summarize the case again you).

Sunrise, I still want to hear your response to my post. I stil don't understand your actions last night, and you have yet to contribute anything since.

Azarius,

"You attack one and the other jumps on you (because that's what you did)."

Rowain attacked Jabbz, and you attacked him. That's what he was saying, and it does check out, chronologically.
If you know what I mean.

What answer were you wanting from me Qg? I thought I responded to everything, but I'll be happy to elucidate if I haven't.
