Square Leg is Garrim Gyrrrrrrr - An Angry Dwarf

Square Leg Wrote:A wraith has turned up on my SW border... yikes wtf!

Ok - so it was an April Fools about the wraith although it did raise a good discussion. Golems have some pretty cool benefits:

•Indicates Non-Living Race
•Immune to Fear
•Immune to Poison & Death
Damage
•Heals 5% LESS in Neutral Lands
•Heals 10% LESS in Friendly
Lands

So the wraith is a scary str6 +3 death - or to a golem - just strength 6. The nasty scorpion that is patrolling my borders that goes by the name of Walgna Watio is str 4 +1 poison - or just str 4 to a golem.

Notice the healing... I get confused by this... it heals less in Friendly lands than it does in Neutral??? The general synopsis is that Galems heal pretty slowly regardless of where they are and hence the need for Repair adepts who can heal them very quickly. nod

Ah ok - it makes a lot more sense now. I had thought it was because the Luchuirp are so lazy that they couldn't be arsed to heal golems in their own lands but it was necessary in the wilds! lol

Heh, I just deleted this... Oh well, it looks to me like a rules question.

Think your safe Cesium, it was a mechanics question SL asked about.

Well done on the April fools, didnt think to look for them in games reports (if only my reports in FFH2PBEM6 were fake frown )

Turn 52

The picture is in the post above - pretty much - press enter. The mud golem completed the road to Totoro! woot!

Turn 53

Here are the demographics. I'm going to look at each category and assess how I think I am doing:

GNP: Pretty happy - Bob is in 2nd but he has 4 extra in culture from being creative. That means that really - I'm no.1 although - Iskender has been tossing around some big numbers in the past - my guess is now he is working hammers and food to get out a worker/settler.

MFG: more than double the next best... jive

Crop Yield: I have maxed out my capital and it is on hammers so I'm middle of the pack atm. Need to get out some more cities....

Soldiers: apart from the Clan - I am miles ahead of anyone else so I'm pretty happy.

Land Area - Bob will be in the lead here since his 2nd city will have expanded borders, but because both my cities are inland - I come 2nd.

Pop - 1st. Totoro is size 8 (largest in the world) and Valley of the Wind is size 5. Pretty happy with this. Next city will go towards clan also and grow like a weed on FP's too...

App Rate: low which is good since it means I am utilising my happy cap.

LE: Again quite low meaning I am utilising my health cap.

Imp/Exp - no one has TR's yet.

Turn 54

VEEEERRRYYY interesting turn.

On ending turn this happens:

jive The first hero of the game is built! jive

So, who is Barnaxus?

So Barnaxus is a Golem that can learn. The only one. I will have to dig out his back story as I don't know it - if some helpful lurker were to post it before I can then they win a Golem named after them! lol

- and just like that we have a way of getting more posts - prizes in this thread are unit names!

Barny - as he shall now be known, influences all golems - whether already built, or built later on. As he levels up down the combat line he passes on empowerment promotions to the golems making them stronger by quite a bit once he reaches combat V. The general play with Barny is to get him to C5 and then hide him away so he can't be destroyed.

FFH PBEM 2 spoiler (KEEP OUT!)

He is worth a lot to the Luchuirp and hiding him like mist and uberfish have done in PBEM 2 is very clever - nearly every unit that Sciz ever builds is going to be at a disadvantage compared to where it could be had he been alive. As such - I intend to escort him with his own personal bodyguard when he is off trying to get xp so no one can snipe him.

Barny can also use bronze, iron and mythril weapons making him stronger. The first meal Barny will be eating is:

Yes - our friend from the Broken Sephulcher.... If I attack from my inside my borders then Barny will get +10% from homeland making him str5.5 vs str4. Should win and get a few xp's...

Yeah - If a player asks for clarification on a mechanic, you are pretty safe to post about it, so don't worry! If you told me serdoa was 1t away from BW with mass warriors to upgarde - maybe it would be different! lol He doesn't does he?!?!? lol

Are you sure you get homeland attacking from your borders to outside of them?

And grats on the hero

Yep - I tested it. might be a bug but it works!

Jkaen Wrote:And grats on the hero

Thanks!

I talked about not building him since a surprise rush of WG without him is harder to spot but I just realised that I was missing out and that play was a bit smoke
