Oh, in other news if I am reading the scores right the Lanun still have not settled!

I am guessing they can't find nice coast, which makes me happy i discarded all civs that need a flavour start

Well, seems the pirates have finally got around to settling, just as I bump into them on my wanderings (maps later I promise!)

In the middle of the night your scouts hear a commotion.

A group of red jump-suited individuals seem to be arguing about something.
The largest one is clutching his apparently injured foot, and whimpering in pain.
"Shut up you idiot. You'll wake them up."
"Too late"
"Oh no! We'll get surface plague. Just drop the orb and run!"

Investigating the or they left behind, you see that it is labelled "Diplomacy Sphere"
With a little examination you find the right button to push.

A projection of an enormous unblinking eye appears before you.

It looks like you can punch in messages, which the computer will analyse and respond to.
Perhaps it might be best to send this one back to the capital...

Fired back a reply:

The scouts curiously kept a keen eye on the door of the dungeon they had camped out at overnight ready to investigate in the morning, and so were less than observant as the red suited visitors left their package.

After investigation, it is obviously an important artefact, hence following standard protocol, the scouting team immediately dialled in there pocketportal ™ and sent it flying back to the capital.

There the greatest scientific minds gathered around the object and ran test after test trying to determine the magical source of its powers, but to little avail. Deciding it could wait for another day they went off to enjoy some of the fine dwarvish brew they had still in stock.

That night when the Janitor Bob was cleaning the workshop he noticed the new object, and the stain of some sort of BBQ sauce that had dropped onto the screen. Muttering about the lack of respect the wizards showed, he got out his cleaning cloth and scrubbed vigorously just over the flashing Y button.

I see it took you quite a while to settle, I guess there is a lack of coast around (I am yet to see any), map also seems fairly devoid of special features too right now, hopefully I will bump into them soon.

Deciding that the mages should not be trusted to think things through and not fire 100's of questions at the machine, Bob decided not to mention he had got things working, and keep contact to himself for now.

Picking up a memo from the scouts who had made the initial contact, he decided to forward it on to the Computer

"We invistigated the dungeon this turn as ordered, but we were not ready for what was waiting for us, two wolf riders and a giant spider burst forth to defend the building. We have them tied down east of the dungeon right now, but we are not sure how long we can hold out. Tell my wife I love her!"
