Also, I'm still looking for a temporary turn-player replacement in early February.

First contact! The tool tip was cropped out (whoops!) but the Warrior is Lewwyn's. And after PBEM18 I think we were both looking forward to round two, so this suits me just fine. I have no idea where his capital is, but my best guess he is somewhere on the other side of that band of jungle.
Hut results have been decidedly mixed. Gold, Barb spawn (which killed my Warrior) and a map showing the jungle. However, that jungle also means my northern border will be relatively secure, and early threats will probably be from the west or south.
Last call for a temporary stand-in guys. I'll only be off for a week, and there's probably no more than 5 moves to be made on any given turn. Any takers?

I just finished farming the Corn. It will take a while longer for Bronze Working to come in, so my options right now are limited. Farming a floodplain is possible, but I'm more leaning towards building a mine on top of the Marble for an early high-hammer tile to boost Worker and soldier production.
Without a real military unit, there's little I can do about the scouts poking around my lands, but unless they get cheeky and start blocking tiles, it's not really an issue.

Also, turnplayer anyone? If I end up missing 10 turns because no one is covering while I'm on holiday, you might as well give me the Atlantis treatment.

If you don't find anyone by the time you're due to go I'll play your turns.
But.
I require a detailed and comprehensive action plan written down.
And.
I'll not do anything outside of that action plan.
I'll be essentially a human automaton following a set of instructions with no own initiative, so make sure the instructions are good

Heya Mist,
As no one else has stepped up yet, I'll take you up on your offer. Once the game goes up again, I'll write up some sort of plan to follow.

The first random event hit me, and it was a good one. The affected tile is the one directly north of the city (now a 3/1/1 tile). I'm going to have to check whether chopping the forest will remove the effect, but otherwise it's basically become the first tile that I want to cottage. Pindicator has decided to be cheeky with his scout, so I set my Warrior to finish at the end of the turn to chase him off.
My scout is currently south of the city, having found Fish and Stone resources, but not much else of note. Lewwyn may still have a Scout in the area too, but I think a Lion just ate him. The south and west are rather barren, so my current expansion will focus on the grassland to the north west. I'm trying to decide right now whether to continue scouting the south for goody huts, or to turn the scout around and explore towards the north east.
As of now, I'm confident that I'll be able to play one more turn before leaving tomorrow, but I'll work on the micro plan based on the above picture.

So here's a provisional turnplan for now. The presence of that Scout makes it very hard to make detailed micro since I don't know in advance which tiles he might be blocking. Hopefully that will be solved in the very near future (and I will probably check up on this thread once or twice).
Quote:Tech:
*Finish Bronze Working
*Then start on Animal Husbandry
City:
*Grow the city to size 4
*Time the growth to coincide with finishing a second Warrior
*Then start a Settler
Worker:
*Finish the mine
*Move to the Forest N of the city (probably lose a turn or two before BW finishes)
*Chop it into the Settler
*Chop the forest SW of the city into the Settler as well
Scout:
SW looks like a barren wasteland, so start exploring the NE instead.
Warrior:
Chase off Pindicator's scout, and defend the capital area.

Alright, last turn played. Pindicator's Scout is now threatened by my Warrior, but he hasn't played his turn yet and will almost certainly back off. Mist, ideally you could log in after he played his turn and set the city to work the Corn again. The rest can probably be done according to the above plan for now.
