Haven't played or lurked diplomacy before, watching this one.

Can someone link to the basic rules somewhere? From reading all the threads so far I get the general flow of the game but I don't know the mechanics of supply centers, victory conditions, etc.

Played: Pitboss 18 - Kublai Khan of Germany Somalia | Pitboss 11 - De Gaulle of Byzantium | Pitboss 8 - Churchill of Portugal | PB7 - Mao of Native America | PBEM29 Greens - Mao of Babylon

hmm

Reading through the threads, I remember now why I disliked playing Diplomacy but loved lurking it.

Too many "NAP"s for my liking. This is Diplomacy man! Alliances are supposed to be fluid

Eh - I guess maybe it's a terminology thing I'm hung up on. I think of "NAP"s as a civ term with the connotation that they are nigh unbreakable. "Alliances" in Diplomacy I think are more fluid
