Is that character a variant? (I just love getting asked that in channel.) - Charis

[SPOILERS] Oxy and suttree save the day, again!

Obviously settle where the settler has moved. Capital looks very good, that's a lake 1NW of the wheat. Nice to see nearby luxuries, even if they are relatively weak ones.

Scout moves NW-NW?

Also, looks like India is researching Bronze Working or maybe early reli noidea

Seems a little gamey to log in after every player plays their turn and its not exactly subtle. Regardless, I'm not at a civ-capable computer

I think the diplo ramifications of doing that vastly outweigh the minute advantage we could gain from knowing what tiles our opponents are working on turn 0. Conventional C&D can pick up most of that anyway.

HBHR, you mind if I log in and settle our capital?

Looking at that start, my gut feel is to imagine the capitol at size 5 working the fish and all the mines that get built from surplus worker turns pre-Wheel. The wheat and sheep get shared out if possible and doubled through granaries ASAP.

There's not a whole lot of commerce there though, at least not at the capital. Of course that could work, the capital is pretty mediocre for commerce and a palace switch is very likely to be the right move at some point. Still, we should be careful of economic crash, this map will have pretty bad maintenance. Hopefully that river to the south will continue to our planned second city.
