Infernal times 6 (Rowain 5 to 10 )
Good enough?
or do I have to create several accounts for it?
No cheating, Lewwyn might scold you!

At this point, I'm tempted to vote that you rename your capital "Sheepshagger"
Denied!
Thoth Wrote:However, I'll respect your proposed naming scheme and vote for "Dovellio"*
Approved!

Gaspar Wrote:Actually, I dig naming all your cities Mercurian names, since that might well be the only way ever see them.
So, at the moment we have:
Infernal, one vote (Rowain)
Calabim, one vote (Darrell)
Doviello, one vote (Thoth)
Mercurian, two votes (Bob, Gaspar)

Huh, I thought that your problem was too many cooks, rather than insufficient data!

Chalk me up for another Mercurian vote.
And a vote for quick enough settlements that everyone can be happy - settlers be cheap in this strange non-flaming world.

Also, in actual game-related opinions - I definitely agree with Ichabod, chop until your fingers turn blue! It's very powerful, and you don't want to leave forests around in an always war game in any case.

That's another reason for chopping the forest 1W of the capital that I hadn't considered.
Well, here's how things look in turn 31. I haven't finished the turn yet because I think we should move the warrior in the capital towards east. We will get a warrior at EoT and there'll be another one ready before we reach size 3 (to escort the settler). So we can spare the warrior currently fortified in the capital.
What do you think?

And explore toward the Maoi sign? Sounds like a good plan.

I logged in but didn't move/change anything. We need to switch production to a settler to absorb our two chops. When the warrior finishes, I think we should move him due north to check for seafood. The eastern worker should jump on the pigs; the western worker should keep singing the lumberjack song.
Next tech: Fishing if we find some seafood, I guess. The conservative move would be to grab Hunting for spears and Archery for Skirmishers.

Turn 34:
MADEEEIRAAAA! (yeah, I don't know what the woodsmen yell when a tree is falling, so I'll just put it in portuguese):
And a look inside the city:
The good news of the turn:
Which leads to the question: should we pop it? I think we should. If worst comes to worst, we can make an axe in the capital.
Demographics:
And there's the question of what to tech next. If we are going for the Great Wall, I think now is the time to go for Masonry... Well, hold that thought. I think we have time. So we could go for pottery (getting fishing in the way), mysticism... I'll give it some thought...
If only we had a better second city spot...

That would be "TIMMMBERRRR" in English.
Or, if you're a Monty Python fan, "I'm a lumberjack and I'm OK/I sleep all night and I work all day."

Yeah, I don't think there's much point in cranking out a scout to avoid a 25% chance of barbarians. It also would give us visibility of a lot of North Sea tiles: I'm still holding out hope for some seafood up there.

As long as no Azers show up, we should be good.
