It could drag out, knights vs pikes isn't going to be easy once I upgrade all my spears. So either he keeps his stack in one piece and goes slowly or divides it and I can fight the stacks one by one thanks to higher mobility.

After moving everyone last turn I had realized that I had put 3 spear in potential range of Ichabod's knights, the ones in the last screenshot (the tile 2NE of Seymour is only covered in Allen and Kearney's culture). But Ichabod only took 2 cities so I think he didn't touch them. That means 3 more pikes for him to deal with next turn !

I made some counterattacks ! First with my GG knight who was at 25/26 XP, against a sentry knight of Ichabod. It was a 77% fight so it was risky, but the GG won !
Secondly against Allen, which was only defended by 4 knights, only one of which was full strength AND promoted. My WE killed that one at 63% chances, I then lost a knight of mine at 67% chance and won a pike vs slightly wounded knight fight at 75% chances. Sadly I didn't have enough troops to push on and kill the last redlined knights, and I had to delete my redlined pike and WE, despite their upcoming promotion.
In the west Barteq finally made a move.
He finally closed borders.
Overall I like how aggressive pikes handle themselves vs knights.

Here's the situation in the north.
I'm reassembling my knights, I still don't have enough to fight Ichabod but it's better than nothing. If I can stop Ichabod where he is long enough for Barteq to catch up maybe I can trigger a conflict between them. Please ?
Boak recaptured a city last turn, but won't be able to take another right away.

Barteq's stack is not immune to a good counterattack. Unfortunately I only have 1 catapult available next turn if he stays in the city, the others will be 1 tile to far. But his scouting HA will tell him not to take the city of course, or at least to be careful of a trap.

Despite feeling like I'm abandoning this thread I'm one of the best reporters ! Yay !
Actually it's annoying that the best players aren't reporting more. I know that REM has very little time to play, let alone report, but Taotao should be more active !

Dtay is coming to my rescue ! He offered iron for iron, which I proposed back. I'm losing cities rapidly but my stack is dancing with Barteq's, waiting for an opportunity.

Barteq sees the danger his stack is in. I thought very hard about this, and I think my main problem right now is the triple front.
So I accepted the offer, so I can reorient my troops towards Ichabod (who's being destroyed by Dtay) and Boak (who's stack is clearly inferior to mine). That way I actually have some opportunities for conquest.
Situation in the north : Ichabod had left only a musket in Kearney (I sent a c1 knight to soften it but it somehow won at 12%) and had emptied Davies. Now I'm threatening his stack
I really need to send units this way to take down Boak.

Yep. I want to end this game as an important leader in the Shire, not as Theoden. Let someone else be Aragorn here.
