Is that character a variant? (I just love getting asked that in channel.) - Charis

RB Pitboss #2 [SPOILERS] - Iamjohn, Kodii & Zeviz

I don't know why he wants to found his copper city on such a non-defensible location.

I am fine with founding our city 2S of the rice. I think we're going to have to concede so as to found our city on time, and then we can focus on settling our south.

Iamjohn: After the worker, build/whip a settler.

Alright, I went hog wild (at least from my point of view wink ) with the "maximizing the land" theme- and here's what I came up with. I also add where LiPing of the Romans should be according to the distances between civs that we've seen. If the land allows it she could be a little closer diagonally to us, but obviously we don't really know how the land lies out there.

Also had a short chat with regorrarr. I'm fairy new to this kinda thing, is what I said okay? I tried to be fairly nebulous, I don't know how well it worked. As always, start from the bottom up. The game clipped out some of what we said, but it was really just pleasentries.

I will revise my dotmap, but I feel that we should still found our city 2S of the rice, especially since we don't want to delay our second city any longer.

Furthermore, your dotmap needs to be revised because AK will be settling 1W of the peak north of our capital.

Will do next time I log in and have time, though I've been trying to post overview type stuff every so often. smile

Here is my updated dotmap, but I left it incomplete in the south.

We should settle the red dot NOW, and then purple dot, which can go 1E depending on whats in the fog.

I really kinda wish we could settle the copper city soon at least, but yeah, that looks good. smile

Well, the purple dot will be our next city, and that's our copper city.

Well we settled city #2. ATM it's named DINA in tribute to our incan roots, but really I'm sure there's better names out there. wink

If all goes well Metternich should gain a promotion next turn.

The requested demographics screen. I'll get the other ones later.

Our capital just finished a worker, and should finish hooking up the furs in 2 turns, allowing us to grow the turn after. In the intrim it's building another quechua, but a barracks or work boat (for scouting in Li-Ping's direction) might be a better choice.

I am not completely sure of the details, but, is it true that:
- You do not have the aggressive trait
- Quechuas are a unit (and the only unit) you can build with a built-in combat-1 (which is preserved upon upgrading) ?
If so, then how does this affect your strategy for metal exploitation? I certainly wouldn't suggest not settling/mining metals, but you could always delay roading them or could trade them away to preserve your window of producing aggressive quechuas (which could be upgraded in an emergency or in a strategy) as well as being cheap military police units.
