Hey Kalin,

Excellent response to the Incan's. I would really hope for a long term ally from them. Given they've already eliminated a neighbour they've no reason to rush to a land grab with us as we're willing to co-operate unlike Byzantium. We did receive an apology e-mail blah blah blah from Byzantium after they've settled but NO DICE! I think we need to take them out and the sooner the better.

Here's the general gameplan as I know it.

Ellorrs will continue to explore and attempt to contact others.

Bo Shek is headed back to Coruscant to act as MP.

Momaw Nadon I believe should head around Paris and see if there are any roads around that may be pillaged. May not be possible though as we will also need an escort for the Settler.

Dice Ibegon will contact the Greeks shortly and then head back to Byzantium to help choke and maybe steal a worker.

Owen and Beru will road the horses and start chopping for chariots.

Once the settler gets whipped for max overflow into a chariot, Coruscant will be on strict chariot duty for a bit.

RE: Settler. Where do you want to settle? I would suggest either 1SE of Bronze as originally planned but 1S of that is also very appealing. Thoughts?

I think we should be able to take Paris out with Chariots. Eliminating them is an entirely different matter. We should be able to choke Athens to the point where they're not going to be a factor.

If for whatever reason we can't take Paris, I agree it's a fight to the death!:duel:

How far is Paris from your capitol, does it make a good second city (for you that is, if you choose go all out without a settler)?

We have contact with Greece! My initial e-mail off to them:

Quote:Greetings Mighty Greece,

How goes the scouting of this wonderful world? We understand you have met Byzantium, have you met anybody else? We also know of the Incan's and they are to the SE of Byzanitium. Fear not from our exploring warrior Dice Ibegon as she comes with peaceful intentions. We would be interested in forming a friendly relationship with Greece. Do you have any thoughts on a potential relationship? It's a pleasure to meet you!

Also I'll end turn after I can hopefully get some thoughts from Kalin.

Dice should now return. There's a barb warrior 2 or 3 S of Pari's borders, I can't remember now. Momaw Nadon can see him. Momaw should definitely light the way for our settler rather than trying to go pillage any road connection to Paris yet. Providing the barb doesn't move 1N on the interturn, Momaw Nadon should move 1SW as Paris will expand soon anyways.

Oh and RE: Espionage. Should we keep all our points directed at Byzantium? We gained their graphs this turn but should we aim for espionage? Split between them and Greece? or go all Greece?

Hi Athlete,

I am thinking to send the message below to the Byzantines. What do you think? I'd like to not alarm them, but express some reasonable outrage.

Regarding EPs, we should keep them on Rego unless they say something. If that delays them for a turn or two from seeing our demogs it would be worth. I'd like not to tip them about our intentions just yet. I appreciate about 7-8 turns for an attack on Paris.

It's great about meeting the Greeks! I will send them an email as well.

Feedback from lurkers would be appreciated here smile

Quote:Hi Rego,

I was out of town last week with little internet access. It was a good trip though smile

Regarding your 2nd city, I have to say that it is in a place that we would have liked ourselves. We were quite unhappy about it, but we would like to play a peaceful game so if you offer us compensation we hope we can come to some agreement. Once we can agree on that we can discuss other things.

OK, so here's an update before I hit the sack for the night.

A general overview of the world as we know it:

Starting in the south you can see Ellorrs is about to meet Rome next turn:

Dice met the Greeks (mission accomplished) and will now head back to Byzantium in hopes to choke Athens. Dice is currently at 4/5 XP so hopefully she can kill a wolf in the mean time to get to Woody II.

And here's the land around Coruscant:
Owen moved onto the forest this turn to chop into a chariot and Beru is roading the Horses. My thoughts on Beru is that rather than move to the forest SE of Coruscant to chop she should move to the forest W of the horses to chop. Inside our borders we get 20H regardless and this way she can head to our second city site to connect it up and get the copper mined sooner than later. Owen will take care of chopping/roading the path into Paris.

Bo Shek is heading back to Coruscant to be MP. Momaw Nadon will lead the way for our copper city and be MP there.

Our EP spending is currently all devoted towards Byzantium and we currently sit at 13/40 so we're well ahead. Hopefully the few turns of a lack of our graphs on their part will give us a chance to surprise them.

Reply from the Incan's:

Quote:Hi athlete & kalin!

We have already discussed as a team where we would like to settle our next city, and it is in a location considered "towards" your fine civilization. We are definitely keeping in mind that we are excited to embark on friendly relations with you, especially with the recent aggressive settlement by regoarrarr and his team. We wish to place our city so that it will not threaten your copper or immediate areas south of your capital that you may consider settling, but to ensure we do not arise in a conflict, we would like to discuss our border sooner rather than later to help us work more closely together.

We are interested in settling south of the four-tile lake south of your capital (so that the BFC does not expand across the aforementioned lake).

And a reply from the Greeks:

Quote:Greetings oh emperors of دولتْ علیّه عثمانیّه!

It's good to finally meet you. I appreciate your right-to-the-business mentality! Glad to see you found our new e-mail address, I might not have contacted you back had you sent this to the old one, because I still have no vision of your scouting warrior.

We have met Byzantium, India and now the Ottomans. You can find India south-west of our lands. Our own scouting would be better if not for all those pesky lions, but we're still fairly wise about our surroundings. Thanks for the info on Incan location.

Thoughts? Sure. We probably won't have a shared border, so there shouldn't be a reason to be enemies. Tech trading is off, but perhaps we can both help eachother in other ways down the road. We wouldn't mind to know your thoughts on the map and your surroundings smile We are locked between Byzantine and India ourselves.

PS. Yaz is also part of our team, but he will be away for a couple of months.

New conjecture about the map: it looks like a spiral!

We'll need to work a plan of attack. Their capital may grow to size 2. I am wondering if we should go with 2 chariots and 1 warrior or 3 chariots... The odds for chariots would be only ok: 4.0 vs. 3.9. Also, we may need both workers for the road used to attack. My idea was: 2 workers move on the forested tile on turn T0, then they road on turn T0+1, the chariots move on the hill 2 NE of Paris, end turn then immediately attack on turn T0+2. I haven't worked this out very well though.

K some thoughts. I'd like to clarify the spot the Inca's are talking about. Possibly ask them for a quecha or 2 to help beat the Byzantine's back. I think they might be willing. Or if they just wanted to join in either way. Perhaps some proposal that if they survive they would come back to them as an axe or a spear or something?

RE: The incan's settling plans towards us. Not thrilled about it but not a lot we can do either. We need to settle one border peacefully. We might be able to tip Rome off and have them hit the Incan's later? Depends on how long term we want to be with the Incan's. Just some thoughts.

RE: Greece, I suspect they have a plan in place with Byzantine as they have expanded away from each other (I think). Though if we can take Paris we might be able to enlist them to finish off Athens? I believe they've settled towards India in an attempt to slow that fearsome duo!

RE: Rome who we will meet next turn. Hopefully we can guide their Praets somewhere's useful to us smile.
