T113:

wetbandit offered silk for 9gpt. Calendar is in in 2 turns, otherwise I would take it.

JR4 piled on Charriu. Wetbandit started golden age, swapped to Bureau. Things are getting interesting.

Ready to hit next turn:

Power:

Getting second half might not be possible because of the world cup PYFT issues.

Other stuff:

I teched calendar, which helps with the whip-unhappy I'm stacking, up to 5 or 6 frown in some cities. wetbandit may have Pyramids and early Bureau, but he's way behind on cities. He needs to tech something fast, and start gaining some territory, maybe pile on Yuris. I don't have a shot here, but yuris is in between wetbandit and me, so a dogpile is possible.

Long-term, I expect JR4 and Dark OT4E to neighbour in ex-Charriu land, so they'll help to balance each other.

Yuris revolted to HR, bad timing.

Win, Shock HA against Spear, Shock Chariot vs Axe.

6 pop and a Granary is great. City comes with pigs, Copper, 2 seafood. The fantastic 'midpoint city' of this map's design. Took two workers SE of the city.

My staging is bad, should have had workers ready to road so my stack can land on forest SSE of Bangalore and fork two of his cities.

In my defense I had suddenly changed plans to attack a couple of turns earlier because I was concerned about his progress to LBs.

Assuming equidistant capitals from the stone, my stack is 5 tiles away from his capital, maybe 5SE away, so taking that out might not be possible. We'll see next turn. I may not want to push too far beyond Agra anyway because of wetbandit. East of yuris should be superdeath, who might pile on too. Where are your war chariots and keshiks?

Note to self: move archer from Hlobane into Bangalore

Metal Casting next, time to workshop.

Have top power. wetbandit has ridiculous golden age GDP, but his MFG is only slightly ahead of me. That's how far behind he is in cities.

Triple fork:

Can't take out the holy city, unfortunately, but will try to raze the capital, as well as taking that size 1 city. Then I'll be suing for piece and tech Machinery to mill everywhere, and prepare for knights hit.

My economy is just terrible though so I might head for Literature. Choices, choices.

I'm not sure what to do, I usually die before I get to knights.

At first it seemed like Rusten and rego would be in, but it looks like I've an actual shot at winning.

Update: wetbandit>ipecac>yuris~WilliamLP>JR4~Dark Savant>Charriu (+dtay dedlurker)>>the Psychonewbie

Wetbandit delenda est.

What defines a Psychonewbie for you.

Just wanted to thank you for those luxuries, they definitly helped in delaying my elimination. And yes I learned a lot about whipping this game, like many other things I learned. smile
