JR4 has massive power right now, but no real good targets. Wetbandit has a nice target, but doesnt seem to have much production base to get the job done. Mr.Cairo 30%. Has the best shot as he has access to Donovan for semi-easy land, and currently is set to win a Culture Victory in probably 120 turns or so. Probably less. Myself? 20%. I have a fair chunk more land, and its currently building. I just really really need better tech/gnp. I have access to Cornflakes who will be horribly backwards Infantry vs muskets very shortly. Im still teching at the rate that Wetbandit was teching about 100 turns ago. Not good.

In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."-Old Harry. PB48. ![]() ![]() Setting up the capital and other cities for a 12t golden age. Im thinking ill finish astro at least, before entering the GA. Maybe use the production boost for the UB? OR..... save the GA till after rifles and use it to speed my way toward railroad which will more or less prevent me from getting killed for till at least tanks. I think ![]() Dont know why i keep showing the tech screen.... im kinda far behind. Anything lurkers want to know?

PB48. ![]() ![]() ![]() In my note-bubbles i have my basic plan set. Teching astro-rifles, save gold, pop 12t golden age and try and get as much teching done as possible. Ill have my 4 person golden age right about the time i hit industrialism i think.. So that will help with the factory push. Im waiting so long to pop this golden age so that i can get the most out of it as i can. This means Salons ( France UB ) in as many cities that can get it down, extra monasteries in the capital, getting some random workshops that wont be used converted to cottages... shit like that. I still view my chances of winning as very very small, but im hoping to open up some windows of opportunity when i get cavalry. Ive got a nice spot where i can zip those down into Donovan Zoi lands and snipe a city or two from Cornflakes, and replant in a better spot. I can also halt Mr.Cairo's attempt at a culture victory with these galleons that i can almost make.. Would rather one of the other powers invades to stop him from winning but.. The Cornflakes plan requires probably... 30-40 cavalry. My other plans are to just mass units and steamroll Cornflakes, Stack-Of-Death style with massed MG's/assorted units. Otherwise i simply wait for SOMEONE to engage in a war. Damn tech-happy opponents.

PB48. ![]() ![]() Losing the culture war with Mr.Cairo is kinda irritating. Ill probably try and get a GG during my war with Cornflakes later and use that to Morale-Cavalry into his archer defender in his shrine city. Of course, that requires alot to happen.. but its one plan of many.

Ok, opened my turn to Wetbandit sending a copper/copper fur/fur trade. I sent it back, and then looked around the map for anywhere that has fur on borders.. Turns out there are a couple ideas that WBandit might have for attacking. I suspect he is attacking Cornflakes very very soon. I... cant really do that for many many more turns as i dont have the techs needed ( railroad ) to safely protect my borders from JR4. While i figure out how best to help myself to Cornflakes once Wetbandit attacks, im also looking to secure my own tiles. Right now, i am losing tiles to Mr.Cairo that id rather not lose in my strongest cities. My Heroic epic/moai city for instance has lost two decent tiles to an -across the water- Mr.Cairo city. Im going to raze it to the ground. On that note i also looked into what it would take to stop him from completing his CV. Just a couple galleons worth of rifles should take down 3rifles + a longbow.
I really dont want to be the one to stop Mr.Cairo from winning, i want it to be JR4 who wastes the resources... as i kinda need time to tech. God, what a shitty spot to be in. ![]() GNP isnt great, but its getting... better? Sadly not at the same rate others are. S.O.B. Production and food continue to far outpace my rivals. ![]() Go go gadget free specialist. ![]() 2 moai tiles, and a grass workshop. 1 Rifle. 1 musket. ... should break from 2 galleons worth of drill 2 rifles right? ![]() This is probably a 3 galleon, 4 galleon to be safe attack. Again, id rather not have to invest into killing his game just for JR4 to stomp me with tanks or something. My thoughts are as follows: Finish rifles, pump rifles from cities while saving gold... maybe 2k or so. Pop GA, get as far to railroad as possible. Build small fleet of galleons and hide them somewhere maybe in a lake. See how the world reacts to whomever declares war first. ( im going to destroy the Mr.Cairo defensive pact ASAP ) just incase Wetbandit wants to get some of him.

First, my lurker question:
![]() 3rd in population. ![]() But apparently im first in domination population............................................. The game taking acid hits again? ![]() Almost time to make rifles. Lots of rifles. followed by wealth-railroad research beeline. YEEHAW. ![]() Major point of conflict is here. JR4 can hit Alex Pichushkin from the "fog" So ive stuffed it with enough defenders for even cavalry to go ![]() My beautiful eastern cities... culturally smashed by those damn greek bastards. He's starting to reinforce his cities more, and defending the bigger sea on the other coast with frigates.. Damn this game is going to be a tough nut to crack.

I would say the game is right. In case of the Domination goal the actual pop count is considered.
But in the demo screen the pops are valued differently. A4th pop in a city is worth more points then the first pop.
