You're right, I went through the thread and counted and we're at 11. I got thrown off by BXB's recapitulation. My mistake!
For the purposes of map balance should we try to get another?

Not sure why 12 is better than 11 - consensus seems to have been reached on "mostly random" map (or at least I haven't heard anyone ask for mirrored/extensively balanced in a while).

Hey guys, I've been thinking, and I don't think I should play in this one. I'm not sure about the time commitment right now, and I stand out on the list a bit in terms of experience (I can't believe I'm saying that). Have fun, everyone, and I look forward to seeing you all in a future game!

we have 11 in pb8, its worked fine.
11 is the default player setting for "huge" anyway (although we used large in pb8)
Please don't go. The drones need you. They look up to you.

Much better to nail everything down first IMO. Once you know who you'll be playing with you'll necessarily be biased towards settings that favor your combo.
Alright. Who has not voted and what votes do we currently have? Should I look back and tally?
11 civs would actually rock, it is the default for Huge and at the least I think more would get excessive.
EDIT: 10 also works if THH wants to drop out. Maybe he could dedlurk someone/team up as a non-turnplayer? Also, compiling votes.

Other bans have not been voted on much (IE Nukes and WEs), but the general conesensus seemed to be banning them: anyone throw in offical votes? Also need more on Corps, hopefully to turn them off so we don't have an instant win condition...huts seem to be the most divided. Also, I'll switch my Mods vote over to Visual Only, heh.

Thanks for pulling this together, Kuro! I changed my vote from Snake to Normalized Random a few posts later, for the record.
I think you should also put in an entry for "Scout Start/Scout-Warrior Start/Standard Start," I think some people had opinions on that. Also whether diplo would be straight AI diplo or with additions like in PB9.
Also, this is my official vote for Corporations Off. We should also make sure an official clause is in the final rules against bad-faith city/units/gold gifting.

I favour snake pick, and whatever the mapmaker thinks works best for map, barbs, huts and events. The more random the map is, the more comfortable I am with those on though.

Fixed your entry, added one for Start (Only vote is mine ATM though). I didn't include options nobody voted for. I'll put in a vote for standard rules against bad faith (We have those, right?)

Settings in progress:
https://skydrive.live.com/redir?resid=C6...9pc2RAsbVY
For the icons in the cells, typing 1 gives you a green light icon, 0=red, and 0.5 (or thereabouts) is orange/amber or neither option fits. Some options have suboptions (eg, Speed has Quick and Normal as lines under the heading).
Work in progress but if you want to whop your info in that's "kuda". Try not to overwrite my witty comments. I *think* we can edit simultaneously.
