Turn 70, In Which AT Finds Out If He Has Iron And Stuff Happens

Well, AT? Do you have iron?

Yes. See events.

I admit, I expected that one of the hills in my cap had it - my guess is that the cap holds coal, now wink

3 irons - that's not bad. And, what happens there? Ichabod attacked dtay? Happy to see Phalanxes go against Vultures. Hopefully, it's not just a worker steal.

oh - not three irons. FOUR, one of which I planted Unboiled Egg upon. Guess I can't really complain about all my desert, since it's all iron.

And they are in great places - whale breath, a tile I can share between Huh and Urination Time and another strong hammer tile for Unboiled Egg.

Oh, and what's this?

ANOTHER iron in a city site I want.

Very exciting.

I missed it in a pic, but barteq's chariot was on the horse, but turned around, so no real worries for me there.

Settler shows up on the hill and barteq can see it. I suspect he'll move his chariot out to threaten to kill it, since I've been doing that wink An archer and a warrior will make him back off.

GNP is down since I'm building cash reserves.

Costs are going up

But it's exactly what I saw in my sims, so more silver and cottages should take care of that, and I think this is the cost of being imperialistic - what you have is expansion, so you gotta expand.

the axe disappeared, back into his culture, i presume. Dunno what that was about.

Putting a turn into walls - I should be able to whip an archer->walls in consecutive turns now, especially with the extra hammer in the city wink

in Whale Breath, switched to Moai and am working the stone. Pyramids look even better in Whale Breath - fish, whale, iron, sheep, stone. At size 5, that is 17 base hammers, with several chops in the area.

This was a happy turn!

Domestically - nothing completed this turn. next turn, Banana Friciton finishes off an archer which goes south and then goes to workers.

As far as I can tell, dtay sometimes goes early and sometimes late. right now, he's in a turn split and doesn't know it. Is it kosher for a lurker to ping him and let him know?

Yeah, it's OK. I'll post in his thread to let him know.

Also, aren't you glad you're getting constant reminders about Windows 10?! I'm sure you're happy to know that if you kill the process advertising its availability, it comes right back on reboot. But you can put a bullet through its head if you want. Open the Windows registry editor (at a run box type regedit). Then, create a new key at:

Code:
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Gwx

Key type REG_DWORD , name it DisableGwx , set Data to 1 (hexadecimal).

Next time you kill the process it won't spawn again. I'm sure if you wanted Windows 10 you would have already installed it by now. bang

Well, doing some spreadsheet work makes me think I can land Pyramids around T 90 in Whale Breath. It takes 4 forests to do it, but it should be possible. And, fortunately, i have 4 forests.

Pyramids would, obviously, be huge.

Turn 71, In Which AT Finds That A Prediction He Made Is Just Wrong, Or At Least Will Be Next Turn

That prediction is, of course, that I can get Pyramids by turn 91.

In case it wasn't clear, HAK (presumable) took MC with oracle and microed to get a GP and a GE and will, I presume, build Pyramids next turn. he's having a fantastic game. I presume he'll be building collosus, which is an ok, not great, wonder, but well worth it.

I mean - i assumed he took MC and I dunno why it didn't occur to me that of course he'd get a GE - nice move. So, what do I build in Whale Breath after I get Moai? Maybe the "Keshik Wonder"

dtay did not accept my trade offer, which sucks. I want him to be a stable northern border (so, maybe you shouldn't have moved warriors next to his workers, butthead!) It's clearly a hot war of some sort - perhaps an aggressive plant being turned back. It's been a while since dtay planted - I'm now ahead of him in city count.

speaking of which, I planted:

I missed the pic of the city - I have it building walls at first for safety, since I don't it set up to build a granary very well. It's working a grass hill, which gives it walls in 5, but I'll switch to the wheat before it finishes. I have to admit, I did not expect it to already be hooked up - I guess it's through the lakes?

Germinal Choice is for one of the very first Ignoble Prizes, for the Repository for Germinal Choice, which was a sperm bank that accepted only donations from Nobel Prize winners and Olympic Athletes. It's unclear how many actual nobel prize winners or athletes contributed.

that pic shows me screwing up - the plan had been to move the work to the forest and start chopping, but I moved the chariot to the wrong place and I didn't want to take the chance of barteq attacking a warrior at a slight advantage to get the worker.

Since I can't get it in, I think I'm going to move the worker over to Germinal Choice and spend some time with the wheat.

Demos:

I lost graphs for both dtay and molach, so I'm splitting my espionage between them. Barteq and Adrien aren't touching theirs.

Speaking of Molach, heis, in fact, sending a settler north

lake clam - no lighthouse needed...

Or, I could go Hanging Gardens, friend to imp civs everywhere.

That seems like a reasonable route - at least part of it is that engineer points are nice for later wonders. Plus, Whale Breath will need the aqueduct anyway, for health, so it's a decent investment.

Turn 71, In Which AT Does Nothing Of Signifance

The settler in Huh? finished and moved.

Pyramids was finished.

I got demos back.

Honestly, though... nothing happened of any interest. Very boring turn. Not that my turns have been endlessly fascinating or anything wink

Turn 72, In Which AT Wonders How He Is The Guy Getting Trolled For City Spots When He is Imperialistic and Protective

First off - I have a problem, which is that I played after dtay last turn and before him this turn. That wouldn't matter, except for this:

I founded Bloody Kids (named after a winner who won "for trying to use mathematical techniques to determine whether and how Moulay Ismael the Bloodthirsty, the Sharifian Emperor of Morocco, managed, during the years from 1697 through 1727, to father 888 children" - yes, 888 children in 30 years)

Anyway - the chariot has a move to go, but ymir is wide open.

I think that if I wish to declare, I have committed myself to moving first - would you guys agree? It would be an awkward turn split (me, dtay and ichabod), but turns are fairly fast.

I haven't ended turn yet.

On the trolling:

What is up with this plant by Adrien?

It's not a good site, to begin with. he's got a much better site by the fish and marble, or down south, just in sites I can see. It blocks me... but why bother? He gets a floopplain - certainly not that cow, which I'm getting in a few turns.

It's less trollier than barteq's, because I don't actually care - I was going to plant in that area, but I wasn't excited about it. But he has vastly better sites, especially as he's going to be losing a fight for that cow (which I get fairly soon).

I offered silver to adrien for gems and silver to molach for gold. I expect molach to accept, since he has multiple hooked up. I dunno if adrien will or not.

i didn't take a pic, but barteq has 4 corn hooked up.

Molach's city - corn, freshwater clam, iron. My city - silver, plain sheep, ice hill.

barteq has 4 corn hooked up - 4 corn, pig, fish and sheep (grass sheep).

You can't declare war and move before him this turn. That would be a double move. If you want to declare you need to wait for dtay to play and take the second slot.
