RB Pitboss #2 [SPOILERS] - Iamjohn, Kodii & Zeviz

Here is a quick blurb from me before I hit the books again:

I think with one war that we've conducted (although small and did not require any diverting of resources), we need to focus on expanding and peacekeeping. If we war with regoarrarr, then people are just going to see us as warmongers.

I am sorry about having to drop out, but the RL circumstances that were keeping me away look like they'll continue until the end of the year. I might be able to rejoin the team in January, but until then I can't really contribute to discussion.

I think purple dot is the best option right now. Let me know if you disagree.

Hey, we finished animal husbandry (we have horses btw), what technology do we want to head for next?

I don't have the game open, but I would say Writing?

I set research to Priesthood.

We have a head start, as only regoarrarr has finished a prereq for Priesthood, and I doubt they will be building the Oracle anytime soon, with their current war. The Oracle will also give us Prophet points for a future shrine. Priesthood will also give us a minor discount on Writing, which we should completely next, and then we can go back to IW.

I have reassigned EPs to Rome (Whosit), and outlined some tasks for our workers. One of them should go to our new city (which needs a name).

Our capital should whip some more Settlers after the barracks before possibly starting on the Oracle? Or we can chop the Oracle out of another city.

Our economy needs some improvement, so lets start cottaging!

Those are my quick thoughts for now. Back to studying!

Here is an overview of the empire as of turn 82 (825 BC):

A barb warrior attacked Celebi in the interturn at 7% odds and lost. This is probably the threat Kodii was worried about and wanted a reload for. The defender there is heavily damaged and there is another barb warrior on its way, due to attack in 3 turns. The defender should be healed up by then but in order to not tempt fate I sent the Quechua which was guarding Fetret Devri towards Celebi to defend.

More worrying is that there is a barb Axe 3N2W of DINA. We don't even have copper hooked up yet, the borders of Celebi just expanded this turn to include it in our territory. Athlete/Kalin have a Horse Archer 2E of DINA, I have asked them if they can help me with the barb Axe. If not I will have to whip the chariot in DINA next turn, which is unfortunate because I want to triple-whip a settler there and not single-whip a chariot.

We discovered Writing this turn and I set research to Code of Laws. I want to settle a lot more cities, but we need a way to keep our economy under control and our research going. We're organized so we get cheap courthouses, so Code of Laws seems to be the right choice.

I whipped a Terrace in Anatolia. This will help get the gold under our control ASAP, which will raise our happy cap as well as helping our research. With 3 workers near Celebi, I will have the Copper hooked up on turn 84. (We have 5 workers total currently).

Fetret Devri will finish a Chariot and grow to size 6 on turn 85. I plan to start a Settler and triple-whip it on turn 86. I'm planning on sending the settler on the tile 4S1W of Celebi, which is 1W of the green dot in Kodii's dotmap. I think it's easily a better site though- it gets rid of two peaks, and instead of sharing Celebi's only food resource (cows), it will share Rice with a city that hasn't been founded yet and will also have clams for food.

After that, the next city I want to found is on the remains of Mortius's capital. Hopefully that will more or less define our border with Rome.

Is that a typo? The city seems pretty landlocked on that screenshot. Ah ok, you mean three-food spices?

Thanks for the update, nice to see fresh pictures of the Interregnum!

What I meant is that it is better for green dot to share a rice with yellow dot (which also has a clams resource) than for green dot to share a cows with Celebi/Purple dot, which has no other food resources.

Athlete and Kalin want me to give them a worker in return for them protecting DINA with their horse archer. I'm not too happy with that deal, I think they are trying to drive too hard a bargain. I responded and asked them if they'd agree that I only needed to give them a worker if they actually lost their horse archer. If they don't then they've just gotten free XP for it. If they don't agree then I'll have to whip a chariot this turn (t83) and attack the Axe with it next turn.

The barb warrior in the south headed NE instead of towards Celebi.

Whosit asked for open borders and I accepted. Anatolia finished its whipped Terrace and I started on a Library.
